REVIEW – The Spring season in NY is in full swing with neighborhoods buzzing with the sounds of landscapers using their equipment to beautify lawns and remove any signs that it was once winter just a few short months ago. In my household, it is time to prepare the planting beds and to plant the vegetable and other plants that have been growing from the seedlings under grow lights in the basement. At the end of winter, the soil in my yard is very compacted and it needs to be dug up and loosened to create the right environment for a successful growing season. Enter the Greenworks PRO 60V 10″ Brushless Cultivator / Tiller!!
What is it?
The Greenworks PRO 60V 10″ Brushless Cultivator / Tiller can be used to prep and turn the soil in your plots at the beginning & end of each season to keep the nutrients fresh. It features an adjustable tilling width of up to 10-inches, steel tines with up to 5-inches of tilling depth and built-in bike-style handles, and rear wheels for easy transport and maneuverability.

Performance
The Greenworks PRO 60V 10″ Brushless Cultivator / Tiller arrives partially assembled and the remaining assembly is quite easy. The following photos show a few of the steps during assembly:
Once assembled, it was time to charge the battery and get to work tilling the planting beds:
The Greenworks PRO 60V 10″ Brushless Cultivator / Tiller did such a great job on the planting beds that I will use it on my next project to loosen up compacted soil in an area where I am planning to install rain rocks and stepping stones. It is easy to operate and very lightweight.
What I like
- The ease of assembly
- The adequate power
- That it is lightweight
- The battery capacity
- The performance
- The safety switch
- The adjustable depth
What I’d change
- Nothing that I can think of at the moment
Final thoughts
Last year when I paid a landscaper a ridiculous amount of money to prepare my planting beds, only to watch him use a simple Tiller to get that job done, I vowed that history would not repeat itself. Before I could purchase one for myself for this season, I got lucky and got this one from GreenWorks to test and review. I must say that I am very pleased with the performance and the durability looks just as promising. IMHO, this is well made and well done by Greenworks.

The “Where to buy” link currently goes to a 404 error.
It’d be really cool if I could swap the tines out for a sweeping brush for light snowfall or clearing dirt off the sidewalk!
The “Where to buy” link should work now.
Thanks.
I tried to buy. First, I got the 404 error. Then, got to the website. The price is now $199 but includes a free battery. I clicked “Add to Cart.” But then gives a bunch of gibberish when I try to check out. I do hope the machine works better than the company website.
This is the 60V X-Range model, a 10-inch cultivator. Adapted from the company’s 82-volt commercial cultivator, it’s far better than the Greenworks Pro 60V 8-inch cultivator available from Greenworks.com and Tractor Supply. But where can we buy it? It’s not even listed at Greenworks.com under their 60-volt cultivators:
https://www.greenworkstools.com/shop-by-voltage/60v/60v-cultivators-dethatchers
It wasn’t even mentioned when Greenworks launched the X-Range line in early 2021.
The only place I’ve found it mentioned is Elk Grove Power:

Is it just now being brought to market?
I have a Green Works 10″ cultivator that I like except I have a great deal of difficulty extracting the battery when it needs to be recharged. I have two GW chainsaws and have no difficulty removing the battery but the cultivator requires a pry bar to remove the battery.
