NEWS – Apple has announced that pre-orders for the new Apple Watch Series 7 will go live this Friday, October 8, at 8 AM ET. During its California Streaming event in September, Apple announced two updated watch models but did not provide any price or ordering information other than a starting price of $399 and availability “this fall.”
New Series 7 features include larger 41mm and 45mm displays, up to 33% faster charging, brighter always-on display, and a subtle wraparound screen effect. Apple Watch Series 7 is also more crack, dust, and water resistant than previous models. A new USB-C charging cable is now included which, when paired with Apple’s 20W USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately), enables the new fast charging mode.
This year’s models come with five brand new aluminum case colors – midnight, starlight, green, a new blue and (PRODUCT)RED – as well as steel and titanium case options in multiple colors.
If you order through Apple directly you can get trade-in value of up to $145 for a previous model Apple Watch. Apple is also offering a $100 rebate for purchases of a GPS + Cellular model activated on T-Mobile/Sprint or Verizon.
