REVIEW – Everyday we spend way too much time focusing on what needs to be done, where we need to go, who needs the next thing. I almost feel like I have run a marathon by the end of the day, and the end of the week never seems to come fast enough. We should be spending more time rewarding ourselves for what we accomplish, not what we forgot. The Comfier collapsible foot spa with bubblers, red light, pumice stone and shiatsu massage rollers can take any day from blah to ahh. A spa moment for our feet is the least we can do to say thanks!

Design and features

It has been a rough week. First came the head cold, then losing my voice, followed by the stomach bug that is still working it’s way through all six kids. I can’t think of many things that would’ve helped to endure this kind of crazy, but being able to pamper myself with a personal spa day, or at least half hour, was a blessing sent from heaven.

One of the drawbacks of having a foot spa is the amount of space required to store it. I feel the most enticing feature with this foot spa is that it is collapsible. It is made of a waterproof silicone based material that folds up and down and doesn’t require much effort. There is a piece in the middle of the basin that clicks into place when the spot is fully extended to keep it from collapsing before you are ready. This isn’t full proof, the back is still prone to folding if pressure is applied.

The control panel on the top is easy to understand and not confusing in any way. There are buttons for temperature, it ranges from 98° to 115°. The number that it displays is the temperature of the current water, and you can see as it increases to the temperature you select. The next button is the timer. Choose anywhere from 10 minutes to 60 minutes in 10 minute increments. Next is the infrared light which has only an on or off function. The last button is the bubbles. And who doesn’t love bubbles. And of course the power button.

The rest is up to you!

We rinsed first, and left some soap on our feet to increase the amount of bubbles without overflowing the small space. I also like adding essential oils mostly for smell, but I know plenty of people believe in their healing power. Each one of my kids had to take their turn and I was the last to try. It really opened my eyes to how disgusting children’s feet are… Ha! I love the temperature settings. Everyone got to choose how hot they wanted their water, and got excited watching the numbers going up as the temperature of the water increased.

I was really hoping the shiatsu rollers for the feet would be more like a motorized massage. These are still nice, but you have to manually move your feet so the rollers will also move. This does have some nice benefits with the DIY method, you get to choose how fast or slow, how much pressure, etc. However, I feel like I have been moving my feet all day, and just want someone else to massage my feet sometimes.

There is also a small pumice stone included. It has a place in between the foot rollers in the spa, and I used it while my feet were submerged. However, I also took it out and used it manually on some of the worse spots.

I did find it odd that there was a warning label on the top of the machine, saying to keep the control panel dry. You would think with it being a foot spa it would have some sort of precautions taken to ensure it’s waterproof abilities

There were some moments that I felt that my toes were getting too close to the heating element, and not moving the water enough to spread the heat. It wasn’t uncomfortably hot, I didn’t get burned, but it might be too much for some people, especially younger kids.

Final thoughts

After a long day, I love the idea of soaking my feet. I can sit back with a book and just enjoy the moment. Adding a small amount of soap for bubbles, and some aromatherapy to the water changes everything to feel even more luxurious. I wish the rollers were motorized so I didn’t have to do anything, but even without that, this spa is great. I love how it collapses almost flat, and I can hide it from my mess makers. Such a good investment for your feet.

What I like about X

  • Collapsible for easy storage
  • Bubbles
  • Rollers for your feet
  • Included pumice stone
  • Red light
  • Heated water
  • Timer that lets you know when you have 5 minutes left

What needs to be improved?

  • I wish the rollers were motorized for more of a massage feel
  • Heating element can get pretty warm next to my toes
  • Can’t get the control panel wet.
