REVIEW- With two toddlers running around, it seems like everything gets sticky. I’m always on the search for something that can help keep things clean, or at least make cleaning more appealing for others to try to help. The Hoto Electric kitchen scrubber has made both of those possible. I can’t always keep my house clean, but I can sure have fun while trying.

Design and features
The HOTO kitchen scrubber tool has a lot of good qualities mixed with good intentions. The ability to change the scrubber head is wonderful and incredibly easy. There are two buttons that you push and the head comes off, and the next one snaps on. There is a Velcro adapter that has even given me some ideas for future scrub heads if I need to improvise something else, such as an eraser for the crayon on my walls.
The first thing I tried to scrub was the griddle for my gas range. I’m pretty sure it made more of a mess than it cleaned up, but after some trial and error, I was able to finally get the griddle clean. There are six different styles of brushes to try, and some extra sponges. The large flat surfaces that I tried scrubbing, my floor and table, had amazing results. Then I started to go crazy with cleaning. I love how this works with the baseboards! The pointed brush is my favorite. I was able to clean corners in my bathrooms and they have never looked so pretty. Some of my children were even cleaning the windows with the sponges. The descaling pad seemed to fray easily, but then again, I wasn’t going easy on it. The fact that the tool comes with so many brushes, they are easy to use, and have a storage bag, is enough to get rid of half my other cleaning products. This can replace so many other things, and is compact for easy storage.
It charges over USB-C, and takes about three hours for a full charge, but then can run for about two hours. Of course that depends on how intense and frequently you are using the tool.
Turning the Hoto Scrubber on and off is just one button, but you have to hold it down for a second or two. So just be warned that there isn’t an instant off for if/when something crazy starts to happen. There are two speeds and the scrubber remembers the last setting you used.
There’s no replacement when it comes to good old-fashioned elbow grease, but this tool sure made some of that cleaning a lot more fun. It may not be perfect, but getting my kids to clean anything is a win in my book.
Final thoughts
I really thought I would be using this more for dishes. However, I am pleasantly surprised at how multipurpose this tool is. It works great for flat surfaces, but has a corner brush that is perfect for the tiny places my normal cleaning doesn’t catch. It’s easy enough for my kids to use, and fun enough That I can hand it to them and get results that are basically up to Mom standard. I do wish that it wasn’t quite so messy as it tends to splash a lot of soap, water, or whatever cleaning product you’re using.
What I like about the Hoto electric kitchen scrubber
- The heads are very easy to change
- Small and compact for easy storage
- Charges with USB-C
- Comes with a mesh bag to keep from sponges from getting smelly
- Multiple styles of brushes and pads for many varieties of surfaces to clean
- Comes with an angle brush for corners
- Waterproof
What needs to be improved?
- When cleaning my dishes, the spray of water went everywhere. Maybe if the rotational direction was an option, it wouldn’t make such a mess
- Some of the scrub pads didn’t last very well/are not super durable.
- I would love to have more options such as a bottle cleaner extension
