REVIEW – I’ve always loved the idea of lounging in a hammock on the patio next to our backyard pool.  I’ve been looking at hammock stands to do just that — but I don’t want anything bulky or difficult to assemble/disassemble. Anymaka advertises that it only takes three seconds to put this stand together, so I had to give it a try.

What is it?

The Anymaka hammock stand is a lightweight, snap-together hammock stand. It’s possible to buy the Anymaka hammock stand on its own ($269). However, ours was part of the combo pack ($399), which also included a lightweight two-person hammock, a canopy kit, and a cup holder.

Design and features

Setup

After removing the Anymaka hammock stand and accessories from the bag, and removing the packaging, this hammock stand really does assemble in seconds. By grabbing the two arms of the stand and lifting up and out, it snaps right together.

Then you simply adjust the height and length by sliding the lock among 8 tension levels, depending if you feel like sitting up and using it more like a swing, or you’re ready to lay down flat and take a snooze.

You just feed the hammock ends through the arms and click it into place with the included carabiners.

The cupholder also just clicks into place.

For the canopy, you pull out the poles to their full length and they snap in place, like tent poles. You clip it to the frame and can tilt and adjust as much as you like to keep the sun out of your eyes.

Performance

The design of the Anymaka hammock stand has a lot of great features, including how nicely the pieces fit together inside the bag.

I also like the extra storage pockets in the bag, which could be handy for bug spray, a book, phone chargers, a bottle opener, etc.

While I plan to use the Anymaka hammock stand for lounging around the pool, I can easily see taking it camping, to a barbeque, a concert at the park, or for my soon-to-be college student to hang out on campus or by the lake with friends.

There’s really nothing critical I can say! This stand is lightweight, at only about 25 pounds. It’s easy and intuitive to use. It clicks in place easily and tears down just as quickly. The hammock has a capacity of 550 pounds, so you can enjoy alone or with a buddy.

It’s a great concept, and they really pulled it off.

What I like about the Anymaka hammock stand

  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight, easily portable

What I’d change

  • Nothing

Hello, Thanks for review. I have seen online some people say that Anymaka is too short for tall people. I’m 6 foot 1. Do you think the Anymaka would be OK?

    Thanks again for the review.
