News, reviews and articles about travel gear and accessories.
As I read Julie’s review of the Timbuk2 messenger bag, I couldn’t help but think of my own choice in gear-hauling. The ‘2’ is a fine bag and the design possibilities are unlimited. I looked at such bags while I was shopping for a new hauler. I knew I didn’t want just a backpack or rucksack; they get tangled on furniture as you walk by and they are too big for everyday carry. What’s that? You say you already carry a flashlight with you? Ok, I knew that… But does your flashlight double as a smoke detector and a distress alarm? I didn’t think so!
Although I’ve personally travelled outside the United States only once so far, I can totally see the value of the gadget I’m going to tell you about today. The Universal AC Travel Adapter from USB Geek, is a nifty little module that will allow you to use your favorite electrical devices in other countries.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I don’t carry a purse. I do carry a gear bag to work every day, but when I go out for lunch or go shopping, I don’t take it along with me. In the winter time, this isn’t a problem because I tend to load my …
