  2. Has anybody seen documented evidence that such thefts of information or data actually occurred other than for modern car key fobs?

The car key fob interception is documented but rarely happens and then only for very high end luxury vehicles as the equipment and technical capabilities needed are far beyond the normal car thief.

I have seen a number of technical papers, though, that posit that this “threat” is minimal to non-existent, except in the movies.

  3. A few months after purchasing a Silent Pocket for my iPhone, I noticed calls and texts were ringing through when my phone was inside the closed sleeve. I contacted the company and responded to several emails with questions about the problem I was having. Per the company’s request, I even sent a brief video showing my phone being placed inside the sleeve and calls ringing through. The company sent a replacement, which worked worked well for about two months before once again calls and texts sounds could be heard when my phone was inside the closed sleeve. Both these Silent Pockets have had normal use and were not damaged by me in any way. They simply quick working and now are useless. Very disappointed in this product. In my experience, they are expensive duds.
