  2. A daughter has this for her kids and they say it really works for mosquito bite relief. Even has a tip for removing honey bee stingers. This method really makes sense vs tweezers which can inject more bee venom? if done improperly.

  3. You place it over the bite and pull the plunger. It draws a vacuum, sucking the venom from the bite. If the bite has scabbed over, we scratch it and then use the tool. After a few seconds, the bite is wet, and we wipe it off with a tissue. We do that a few times and it really does reduce the severity of the itch from mosquito bites and other itchy insect bites. We bought it on a whim as it’s cheap, and were pleasantly surprised how well it works.

  4. There is no mention of the author using this device themselves or having personally seen the results of its use by others. Perhaps they just neglected to mention it but that seems odd. This is not the first time recently that I have noticed “reviews” in the Gadgeteer that are not reviews at all but pretty much just unsupported product promotions. What’s up with that?

    1. Jim, that’s because this isn’t a review at all. It’s simply a news post to share the product with our readers. As you will notice, the first word in the post is NEWS. For reviews, the first word is REVIEW. Simple right? 🙂

    2. heat up a small metal spoon or measuring spoon (1/2 tsp or smaller) under your sinks hotwater then place bottom of spoon onto mosquito bite. The heat from the spoon breaks down the proteins and/or other foreign items that are left behind by the bug and the itch goes away.
