NEWSVictorinox Swiss Army has launched its 10th annual Swiss Army Knife design contest. Submissions are open now and end May 29th. The theme for 2021 is “Patterns of the World.” In this contest, participants are asked to create cool designs for the scales/handles of the Classic Pocket Knife. Designs may range from popular and globally known patterns, your favorite fashion print, or even patterns found in nature.

This is a global contest, so people from all over the world can submit their designs via the Jovoto website for a chance to win. After submission, global voting will take place and 10 lucky winners designs will be featured in the 2021 collection.

Other than having your designs featured on a Swiss Army knife, what else do you win? You will share in the total prize pool of 37’500€. Get more contest details here.

The winners from last year’s contest are now available in the 2020 Classic Limited Edition collection. They each feature two “Sports of the World” themed designs, one on each handle.

They also retain the classic Swiss Army knife features that include 7 tools: small blade, scissors, nail file, screwdriver 2.5 mm, keyring, toothpick, and tweezers all in a 2.3 inches (58mm) case. All of the winning designs are $21.00 each from swissarmy.com.

  2. Too bad – when I clicked on this article, I was expecting to see an announcement that Victorinox now allowed you to create your own custom Victorinox Swiss army knife.

I haven’t had one of these in a couple decades. I think the prohibition on knives on planes pretty much put the pocket knife industry out of business. If only I could pick and choose everything I want in a Swiss Army “knife” (maybe omit the knife?), that would be a reason to buy one once again.
