  1. Gadgeteer Comment Policy - Please read before commenting
  2. 1. I am a new visitor to the site
    2. I am most likely to read this site on a laptop
    3. I don’t know what would make it better, but I may subscribe so I can see things more easily.

  3. Are you a new visitor or a frequent visitor to the Gadgeteer site?-frequent
Do you mainly read the site on your phone, a tablet or a desktop computer?-desktop
What would make The Gadgeteer better for you?-more frequent articles! you guys rock!

  4. 1.) Yes, I am a frequent READER since the Google days when gadgeteer was just a widget.
2.) I use feedly on my phone unless you call for comments then I use chrome on phone. If it is REALLY good, I pick up on pc later or push to Evernote for later.
3.) I wish gadgeteer knew there was more to the Internet readership than just USA.
If I win, pass me over. While I can get a US address, I’d rather hate you like the UK gadgetshow which does some similar snobbery.
No, I will not stop reading your articles. You snobs.

  5. 1. pretty frequent reader. I use feedly for rss aggregation and find myself frequently clicking through to read articles.
    2. probably about a 50/50 split on desktop or mobile for me.
    3. the mobile Web ui can sometimes be very hard to navigate. I find myself getting frustrated at times and abandoning an article.

  6. Are you a new visitor or a frequent visitor to the Gadgeteer site?
    Frequent visitor
Do you mainly read the site on your phone, a tablet or a desktop computer?
    Desktop Computer
What would make The Gadgeteer better for you?
Not much…I am quite pleased with the variety…

  7. 1) Are you a new visitor or a frequent visitor to the Gadgeteer site?
I think I have been here a couple of times from links on your blog.

    2) Do you mainly read the site on your phone, a tablet or a desktop computer?
I read your blog on my tablet.

    3) What would make The Gadgeteer better for you?
Keep up the great reviews! I have discovered and bought several great things thanks to your blog.

  8. 1. Frequent Visitor (Go RSS Feeds)
    2. Desktop Via RSS (if on phone or tablet, full site, don’t care for mobile layout)
    3. Improved Mobile layout. Comments section just doesn’t do it for me.

  9. 1) I am a frequent visitor to the-gadgeteer.com,
    2) mostly on my laptop computer, sometimes on my android tablet.
    3) I would love to see more coverage of niche areas: power packs that are NOT 5V USB limited; audio reviews that benchmark classical music (aka real music) instead of rock schlock); etc.

  10. 1. I’m a frequent Gadgeteer visitor – I read it everyday!
    2. I read Gadgeteer primarily on my desktop computer, occasionally on my iPhone.
    3. An improved commenting system would make the experience better.

    2. Mainly on a PC, when I’m at work
    3. More (Android) apps review, perhaps ?

  12. Frequency – most weekdays
    Where: Desktop (at work)
Improvement: Nothing; the reviews are friendly, personal, and appear to be fair and honest. The site isn’t overly loaded with ads and things that slow down the loading. The commenting section is clear and easy to use. The variety of products are welcome. I enjoy the occasional “guest posts” from the Gadgeteer Team’s family members.

  13. 1. Infrequent visitor is probably the closest because
    2. I typically read through an RSS reader (feedly)
    3. I enjoy what you’re doing now.

  14. 1. Frequent visitor – at least once a week, usually more.
    2. Desktop PC reader only.
    3. To make site better, maybe more follow ups. The followup articles you’ve had in past show that initial impression was not always best impression, both for good and bad purposes.

  15. 1. Frequent although I get most of my content through RSS and Feedly.
    2. Mainly desktop during the week, phone or tablet weekends.

  19. 1.Frequent Visitor
    2.Mobile (phone and tablet)
3.Best of categories – I often sift through trying to determine what was the best of a certain gadget that was reviewed (which had the most compelling pros but the least cons). Existing categories are a great help but It’s still challenging to go through and figure out (okay so which Bluetooth headset did they finally decide on as the one to rule them all?) That would make a world of difference for me!

  20. 1. I visit each day
    2. from my desktop
    3. wishing that entries that merely notify of a new product without a hands-on review were on a separate page to the hands-on reviews.

  21. 1. Daily visitor
    2. desktop Mac (close #2 is iPad)
    3. Hands on reviews separate from news items for clarity/ease of access.

    3. Nothing. The reviews are comprehensive and easy-to-read.

    1. I am a frequent visitor and review this site daily.
    2. I view this site mostly on my desktop computer.
    3. This site keeps improving – and most, if not all, of my past suggestions have been satisfied. The only thing I would appreciate is for product announcements to be clearly differentiated from product reviews. That would save me reading time.

I want to add how much I appreciate the gadgeteer reviewers revisiting previously reviewed products so that readers can see how these gadgets have held up over time. Thank You!

  27. Are you a new visitor or a frequent visitor to the Gadgeteer site? Daily via RSS

  31. 1. I frequent the Gadgeteer, you guys are in my Feedly…
    2. Usually desktop, but I have used my phone and tablet as well.

I read this site on my laptop.
I like to read about new home technology and product comparisons.

  37. 1. Visit randomly. When I see a post that interests me, I log on to the website and read about all the items I haven’t read before, perhaps a week or 2’s worth.
    2. Read on my iMac.
    3. Audio and video posts occasionally and perhaps interviews with experts in certain fields such as product design, finding the best deal, home theater set-up. See something on sale for a short time, send out a blast letting us know, instead of a full fledged review.

  38. I visit Gadgeteer site every day, it’s just part of my daily routine to see what’s new in the world of gadgets. I normally use the site on my desktop because that’s where I spend most of my morning, I also subscribe you daily email so I know what to look for when at the site.
I think the sites great like it is I’m not sure you can make it any better.

  63. I read the Gadgeteer several times a week, if not daily.

I read primarily on my Mac laptop, although I do read from time to time on my tablet.

  67. I’m a longtime fan of the site!

I always read (at least initially) Gadgeteer via Feedly, which is mostly on my Windows PC, but sometimes on my iPhone.

I can’t think of an improvement to recommend – altho the site doesn’t play as well with Edge as it does Firefox, so maybe that’s something…

    3. I like it the way it is, but if pressed I suggest updates to major reviews after a period of time to see if gadgets are as useful as they initially were perceived. I think it’s interesting to observe the shelf life of some products. If that makes sense.

  71. Marko Koskenoja

I visit the Gadgeteer web site regularly – whenever a new email newsletter comes out.

I almost always (80% of the time) read the reviews via my Nexus 6 phone or Nexus 9 tablet. The remaining 20% of the time I use my Surface Pro3.

The best improvement you could make would be to add a 5 star system with separate categories for quality, features, value and perhaps something else.

  72. HERB DERSHOWITZ

I get the Gadgeteer emails daily
I read the email on my desktop.
I’m fine with the cogent reviews and the daily emails.

  73. Been visiting the Gadgeteer for years happily reading away on my tablet. Who uses PC’s anymore? Pretty hard to improve perfection but how about reviewer of the week where a random reader gets to review gadget of their own but it must be out just a few months, or better yet, give a gadget away every month and winner gets to write their review. So, I can speak for other fans that we want more contests!

Are you a new visitor or a frequent visitor to the Gadgeteer site?

I have been visiting The-Gadgeteer regularly since around 1999. I remember reading your review’s for the Palm m100 and Casio Pocket PC before buying them. Can’t believe how long it’s been now lol. I was only 11 years old and now I’m 28. 🙂

Hmmm…well it’s already an amazing site. Julie does the best reviews of anyone I’ve ever seen I especially love your squeeze test lol. As far as how to make the site better I would like to see more follow-up reviews after using a product for a while say maybe a year later. Also, maybe take a second look at some older reviews from say 10-15 years ago such as older PDA’s and how they compare to today’s devices. I think that would be really interesting to see! 🙂

  89. 1) I am a new visitor and I dig the site!
    2) Although I use them all to surf, I prefer a desktop computer.

I’ve been visiting Gadgeteer site regularly for at least 2 yrs and enjoy reading the reviews that interest me 🙂 I mainly read the reviews on my desktop with a cup of coffee, but also do go mobile with my phone. The only thing that might help make Gadgeteer site be better is perhaps a video unboxing, a possible grading system for each product so you could quickly view if the product was rated high or low. Or maybe a community grading system. That’s it love what you guys do. Thanks
