  1. Gadgeteer Comment Policy - Please read before commenting
  2. Reviews posted on The Gadgeteer are more personal than reviews on the other sites. These folks relate how the gadget being reviewed work out for them.

  3. I would love to possibly see a bit more content posted on a daily basis and I feel like I haven’t seen those deals of the day or week that I used to see, would love to see that again. Only caveats really and they aren’t bad in any way, Love the site and I visit daily!

  4. I visit the Gadgeteer at least Monday through Friday. I like the wallet, headphone, and bag reviews as well as other cool stuff (I couldn’t afford the R2D2 fridge). I bought a Finn Wallet after reading your review.

  5. I love your reviews and would like to see more Windows phone reviews and maybe a review of devices that are compatible with Windows phone.

  6. I really appreciate the reviewers responding to comments or questions about reviews. This gets lost on most other sites! Thanks!

Oh yeah, I like the giveaways too!

  7. I’ve been reading The Gadgeteer for several years now and usually check it every day. Everything is good except I’m beginning to tire of the kickstarter and other crowd-funded products.

All of the contributors do a very good job! Thanks!

  8. Keep reviewing “everyday” type products, your staff has a very good knack for considering the pros and cons of a new item and how it may (or may not) be better than currently available items.

  9. I enjoy that you have an uncanny way of testing products that I am looking for right as I start looking for them.

Are you running spyware on my machine, Julie? 😉

  10. I love that you review products that are unique. I also love your writing style. I find it interesting and thought provoking. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  11. I’d like to see more wireless products reviewed. I’m fascinated with all things wireless (NFC, Qi, Bluetooth) and I love to read about new products that have those features.

  12. I think you guys do a pretty good job. At first, I didn’t like your updated site, (quite a few months ago), but I’ve grown into it. Keep up the good work!!! Thank You for all your time and effort to make a great site!!!

  13. I’d like to see comparative reviews. Same product by a few different members of the team. Or each member chooses their favorite product for a solution, and compare.

  14. I look at The Gadgeteer daily! There are always interesting items and articles that I do not find anywhere else. I have bought products because of finding them here and will continue to make it a go-to site for my daily tech info. Keep up the good work.

  15. Love the site!! I think you should add a chat or shoutbox for the site to get more communication going between readers. Or add a forum. =)

  16. I like Kathleen Champan’s quirky news stories. I don’t like when Kickstarter items are reviewed – we can’t buy the product, and who knows if it’ll even be released.

  17. I love to see reviews on photography, fitness and of course Android and PC stuff. I have a Surface Pro 4 so anything to do with those would be awesome also.

  18. I love how you do practical, hands-on, real world reviews…much more useful than the more canned review on many other sites.

  19. I have purchased a number of items based on reviews on your website. I have been following your site for almost ten years. Thanks, ken

  20. Have been reading the site for about 10 years and have followed up on the recommendations. What a wonderful resource!

  21. I like the reviews of ‘Every Day Carry’ objects as well as high tech gadgets. I’m much more likely to buy a small item like a wallet or pen than another tablet.

  22. I appreciate the personal approach for the reviews, as well as the number of folks who respond to offer their personal experiences as well. One thing I do from time to time is skim to the bottom before reading to check the price. Some of these awesome bags carry an equally hefty price tag, so I skip the review so I’m not too tempted. Perhaps play around with the summary details, including price at the top of the review? Sometimes that’s all I’m looking for, and other times I read every word!

  23. I really like your web page, but when i see in my phone, often to be confused trough the menu. All review are great with no expensive gadgets great page !!

  24. I love the fact that your site is about real people giving their honest opinion about real products.

I’d like to see more drone/drone-related item reviews, now that I’ve gotten my own…

  25. I’ve been coming to The Gadgeteer for nearly 15 years! Always great to see new products and ideas, like the PalmPilot! Keep up the great work! -Mark

  26. I have been following Julie’s exploits 1 3/4 decades and I am always impressed with the quality of the reviews.

  27. I read the Gadgeteer every day — and like the in depth reviews. I’ve ordered several things after reading about them.

  28. I agree with some others about not reviewing Kickstarter projects till they are commercially available. I would like to see more reviews on backpacks. Messenger bags just don’t work for me.

  29. I depend on you all for your unbiased reviews. Saved me from buying something that would not meet my needs on more that one occasion. Thanks!

  30. A very well-established & trustworthy blog. I enjoy the multiple comparative images in the posts which hardly anyone else online bothers to provide. I’d love to see more program/software/app.-related posts. Keep up the excellent work 🙂

  31. I like the variety of tech that your site reviews. Case in point: the micro-CPAP machine. I never would have known about it along with other products if it wasn’t for your site. Thanks.

  32. I love you site and have been checking it out for years. I really like the audio products you review. Keep up the GREAT work!!

  33. I love gadgets but I always need a little bit of “help” with all the little tips and tricks to get the most out of them so The Gadgeteer comes in really hand with that. 🙂
    thanks!

  34. I have been digging the site for a long time. The mobile site gets goofy sometimes, but a minor annoyance.

  35. Love the reviews. They are genuine and honest. Have used them to help decide weather or not to purchase numerous items. Thanks Julie!

  36. Lillian Iwatsuki

My go to place. I trust the reviews and would be happy if there were more. But only if that did not change the quality of the reviews. Keep up the good work.

  37. I’d like to see more EDC reviews and less crowd-funding reviews. I’ve soured on Kickstarter/Indegogo after some recent unpleasantness…

  38. sharron ogomori

Wow…I didn’t know you existed. We’re big gadget fans…looking forward to reading your reviews.

  39. Gadgeteer is always a good read – at home or on the move – one of my most used bookmarks – I have made several purchases based on the recommendations on this site. Keep up the good work and all the best to all other readers
    (͡• ͜ʖ ͡•)

  40. I love this site, and the pages are very descriptive. sometimes i think the reviews could use a more broken down format ie. Overview, features, flaws, conclusion, etc. minor point i know. Keep what you’re doing!

  41. The Gadgeteer is my go to site when I want to research something I want to buy. You can’t beat the quality and honesty of your reviews.

  42. Whenever I get the itch to buy new gear, I come here first. I like the news articles of upcoming comapnies’ stuff and other sneak peaks.

  43. I’m very pleased with the website as a whole. Though I wouldn’t mind seeing some gaming content once in a while

  44. I’ve no gripes about the reviews, I actually find the few I’ve read to be good reads. Only gripe is how easily I end up on a different page should my finger flick left or right. I suppose that’s more my fault than this site’s own though.

  45. Reading the Gadgeteer is an excellent way to relax, and find out about some of the most interesting stuff out there. I don’t miss a day.

  46. articles about more “mainstream” products are always welcome. how about trying to review some products that come out from Kickstarter from time to time?

i’ve been reading The Gadgeteer for a long while now, and i’m still very happy with the content i read. keep it up!

  47. I appreciate the honest value (“is it worth it”) assessment of the reviews. Love that these are practical items I’m likely to make use of at home or work.

  48. I enjoy the diversity of gadgets reviewed. The Gadgeteer keeps me up to date on new gadgets and allows me to choose gadgets I want to purchase in an informed way. Thank you for everything!

  49. I love The Gadgeteer. Julie’s reviews are great because she gives a true review complete with her opinion of the gadget. Some of the other reviewers don’t do that. They tell you all about the product, but I don’t sense that they ever used it themselves. They don’t say if it’s magnificent or lame.

  50. The gadgeteer is the best site I visit. Have been a fan since around 2001 and it is the only site I check up on with great frequency. Love the review and love the authors. Have purchased several items based on these reviews and have not had a bad experience. #1 on the Internet.

  51. I’d like to see more reviews on EDC (everyday carry) gadgets. And maybe feature some guest gadgeteers and have them post “what’s in their gear-bag”.

  52. Debra Nicholson

Love gadgets. Look forward to reviewing your website. This is first time here and there is a lot to read. Thanks

  53. I love any reviews or articles that give me ideas of must-have gear for my tech go-bag. I enjoy seeing what others have in theirs and how it changes and why.

  54. No I don’t see a need to change anything about the site I enjoy reading everything here. I like to read as much as I find about Bluetooth/Wifi – Devices and Gadgets, I was so interested in that Grace Digital Encore that you gave great reviews on a while back. Do you still have one and still like it?

  55. I like the way you added links to your tutorials. Especially the link to the leather store in the travers notebook tutorial! That’s the best price and quality I’ve found after searching other sites.

  56. i enjoy the reviews you do and i have purchased items based on them. i would like to see you do electric bicycle reviews. i put one together a few years ago and it is a fantastic way to get around. i work just as hard riding it as i do a non-motorized bike but i go about 3 times as far. or put another way i can go the same distance with 1/3 the effort. (statistics unverified but that what it seems like). thanks for the good work!

  57. Liked the site since before that review: http://the-gadgeteer.com/2003/11/13/tapwave_zodiac2_review/ And I think one article I’d like to read is how a gadget freak can successfully rotate all the gear. Seems like, with planned obsolescence and new products, you all are buying and selling items all the time. What’s your best method of getting rid of the old items you don’t want to use anymore? It just seems like a hassle to always be early adopters and trying out new stuff and then having to (hopefully) recoup costs by selling the old stuff.

  58. Enjoy the honest gear reviews. Check the site almost daily. Great mix of products and I usually find at least one new review per day that interests me.

  59. Would love to win some free stuff! This is the first time I have been to Gadgeteer’s website, but interested to check it out!

  60. This website is a no nonsense review site that I’ve come to utilize over the years. I read it as if my friends were doing the reviewing. This is important to me because there is real feeling in the writing and reviews. Keep it up!!

  61. Today is the first time visiting the site. I love gadgets and someone at work told me about it. I’m sure I’ll be back!

  62. I purchased the Zeppelin wireless speaker after reading the review on the Gadgeteer. Love this site, and love my speaker!!!

  63. I would like to see some android app reviews. Ios apps are reviewed everywhere but not enough honest android app reviews.

  64. The winner is comment #47 Congrats to Chris!

Thank you to everyone who entered, I’ll be reading the comments and hope to act on any requests or ideas mentioned.

Thank you to all the sponsors!
