If you have a MacBook, you know the chargers have built-in cord winders.  The problem with the winder is that it can put a lot of stress on the thin cable where it attaches to the charger.  This stress leads to broken cables, which leads to purchasing an expensive replacement charger.  The folks at Juiceboxx Inc. were tired of buying expensive replacements and decided to come up with a way to protect the cable’s end while still corralling the charger’s cable.  They designed the Juiceboxx, a plastic case that fits over the MacBook charger and guides the cable up through a silo that prevents it from being bent and stressed while still allowing the cable to be wrapped for neat storage.  Funding for this Kickstarter project is continuing through Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:59 PM EDT, and they still have a way to go to meet their goal.  A pledge of $20 will get you one Juiceboxx in a translucent color; a $60 pledge is required for the limited-edition Kickstarter green version.  If funding is met, shipping should start in November 2014.

  2. this is cool… but i wonder if it will over heat the charging brick?… mine gets crazy hot when it’s plugged-in and charging my macbookpro 🙁

  3. The problem is that the left photo (of how the cord is wrapped) is totally wrong. You’re supposed to pull the cord out an inch or so before wrapping it.

  4. I agree with jacky- I’ve owned a Mac laptop since my Pismo PowerBook days… Never had an issue with the power cord. It’s all common sense.
However- I do like this product because it adds some color to my life 😉

  5. @Janet – That’s true. A lot of people don’t know what those bunny ears are for. It blew their minds when I showed me the usage…lol
