powerqube

This may appear to be a power strip at first glance, but PowerQube says their product differs because it can provide the power any device, from any manufacturer, needs.  Unlike most power sources, PowerQube isn’t designed with one manufacturer’s devices in mind, and it determines and provides the amount of charging power to each device.  The PowerQube has six electrical outlets and three USB ports that can charge three tablets simultaneously.  It measures 5.5″ square and 2″ tall, so it’s small enough to take with you in your gear bag, and it’s compact enough to set on your desk or countertop for a convenient charging station.  The PowerQube is available in black or white for $69.95.

  2. Too bad there is not one bit of data on Amazon or their website that gives the power rating for the USB ports. They could be very low powered and you’d never know until you plug your iPad in and it charged slow as a snail. I think anytime a USB charger of any sort is reviewed you should at least get the power spec before you review it. It’s an important piece of information when looking at chargers. Just my two cents love the website always have 🙂

  3. All 3 usb ports can put out 2 amps at the same time. If a device only needs 1 amp that is what it gets. Smart ports are nice, I have one on 2 of my portable power banks and they work great. I know that a tablet or 2 now use 2.1 and 2.4 but you probably won’t notice much slowdown with 2 amps.
