These easy to assemble balsa wood model kits have been designed to fly up to 50 feet without electronics, batteries or anything more than a quick snap of your wrist. They are made in the USA of light weight balsa wood, with non-toxic water-based ink graphics.

Turbo Flyers by Tait Design Co. are available in several colors and are priced starting at $18 individually and $60 for a 4 color set.

  2. Everything old is new again! I remember playing with little balsa wood airplanes when I was a child so I clicked on this precisely because I wanted to know what one would charge for these in 2014.

    It does seem like $18 could be a fair price these days, but it made me choke on my coffee, wishing that I had socked away dozens of the airplanes when they were ten cents each so long ago!

  3. $18? They have them at the local hobby shop for under $2 (some under $1). The most expensive is like $5.99 with LANDING GEAR.

    Granted, the packaging is far better than the little plastic wrap at the hobby store, but I’m not sure it’s THAT much better.
