My car doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity, so I have to plug my iPod into the Apple-specific input jack in my car to listen to music through the car’s speakers.  If I had the Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-free Car Kit, I could add Bluetooth streaming and hands-free calling just by plugging into the 3.5mm audio jack that my car also has.  The Kinivo supports Bluetooth HFP, HSP, A2DP, and AVRCP profiles and aptX for CD-quality streaming; it also has a built-in microphone and music controls.  It doesn’t have a battery, so you must keep it plugged into the car’s power supply.  It’s available at a sale price of $39.99 at Kinivio, and it’s also available for $39.99 at Amazon, where it’s eligible for Prime shipping, so you can be sure of getting it in time for gifting.

  2. I will be trying this. Next amazon order. I have been using (and been happy) with the Blackberry version. The only problem I have is I will burn it out every 12-24 months. It is located next to a 50 Watt transmitter for Radio. Eventually destroys the tiny receiver in it expecting only to receive 100th of a watt. I like the idea of controls

  3. I have a Belkin version of this (Looks very much the same) and it is wonderful. If it is as good or better than the Belkin, then I would recommend it!
