While I like the idea of stopping vampire draws, at ~$25, I’d need to keep my cell phone charger plugged in for about 15 years before it paid for itself.
Will this device last 15 years? And if the goal is to go more green, wouldn’t it be better to spend that $25 on a few foot switches and just tap it with your foot when you need to charge or when you are done? For the same money and an infinitesimal amount of physical excretion, you’ll be saving more money and being more green — and burning an extra calorie.
Can’t help but agree with jhon above. Another cheap and not particularly demanding way to handle the situation is to simply unplug the charger when you don’t need to use it.
Or get it for only $11 to $15 at other online sites.
I purchased 1,000,000,000,000 carbon offsets years ago. I figure I can smugly use as much carbon as I want for the rest of my life and not feel guilty about it. Just like Al Gore, and I don’t even have a private jet.
