ipad snakeClampHere’s another stand option for the iPad.  The iPad SnakeClamp has a flexible gooseneck so you can adjust the angle and height of your iPad to your liking.  In addition to the 18″ long chrome-plated gooseneck arm, there’s an ABS plastic bracket that attaches to the iPad, and  a 9″ round steel baseplate with a black powdercoat finish.  You’ll need a few basic tools to assemble the SnakeClamp stand, but all necessary hardware is included.  As mentioned, you can adjust the height and angle of the iPad, and you can also rotate it to horizontal or vertical orientation.  The iPad SnakeClamp is available now for $49.95.  Beginning in the spring of 2011, a table clamp mount will also be available.

  2. Does it work if the iPad has a case? I have a kid with Cerebral Palsy- and it would be good to have a sturdy base/stand like this, but i’ll need to keep an iPad in a case…

@subs This was just a news item, so I never had a chance for a hands-on look at this stand. You’ll need to contact the company directly, using the link in the article.
