I love music and would use this to help expose my daughter to quality music! No Hannah Montanna BS!

  4. Twitter name: whoopmonster

I desperately need this!!! The office I work in is partially lead-lined and we do not get any reception for radios. All we have is a 5 disc CD changer. Please consider me!!!

  5. Twitter name: bobkieffer

This would be an awesome addition in our household, as we’re all major music lovers!

  6. Twitter name: Sandgritmetalic.
I deserve an Olive Opus 4 Hi-Fi Music Server because with a full time job and grad school work, I don’t get a lot of chances to relax. The way I prefer to relax is with some great music and this would be the ultimate cure!!

  7. Twitter nom de plume: chris_luttrell

I wouldn’t say I deserve one as much as I really, really, really, really want one. I love music and how it makes me feel, no matter what mood I’m in. This lil gadget would be the best way for me to consolidate and integrate my music into my apartment, since most of it resides at my office and often leaves me having to resort to my Ipod and the radio for music at home.

  8. My Tweeter name: turbo935

I deserve to win this beautiful product because, not only do I have about 400GB of mp3 music on various cd’s and mp3 players, but also because I want to give it to my daughter for Christmas. She is the best daughter anyone can imagine.
    Thank you

  9. Twitter name’s lloydviente and I deserve to win because I love me some music; and because I’ve had back luck with storage in the past, I need something like Olive Opus to reliably store my music library.

  10. twitter name: eerilyprescient
This looks wicked cool and I would love to listen to some music while not in my office. Also awesome.

I want to win this because couples of reason. First I don’t have any good music player at my home and neither Ipod. I am very big fan of Musics. I store my music on my computer. As I have lot of musics stored in my computer so it started getting full. So i transferred my half of the music to external hard drive. So every time when i want to listen music I had to attach to computer and listen then. This is not impossible but its just little inconvenient.
2nd reason is that i can’t carry my computer all over home. So music gets limited to only my living room. Some time If I am at bedroom or balcony i can’t listen music. This will also help me in music streaming. so whether i am at kitchen, bedroom , balcony , living room i can enjoy good music with good sounds system.
3rd and last but not least reason is that, my wife is asking me to buy good music streaming device like this from long time. Olive Opus 4 Hi-Fi Music Server not only fulfill my all requirement but also exceeds on some of them. I want it so badly but I can’t buy Olive Opus 4 Hi-Fi Music Server, because its not in my priority list yet and its far away from my price range. So, if I win this monster it will be perfect holiday gift for my wife and for me too as i will able to spent quality times with quality sounds.

  12. I never win anything, but I thought I’d try anyway. This is a copy of my “jjsink” tweet:

Keep up the good work Julie!

The cd rack that I have in my apt is overloaded and archaic. I should def have one of these servers even if I don’t win this one.

What a fantastic gadget, it would be so cool to organize my CD’s on this truly amazing thing. I am a lover music, sometimes to organized for my own good and have a fair amount of CD’s, there for I think this would be a perfect thing for a guy like myself! http://twitter.com/EsbenFoto

  23. ‘Cuz my wife is handicapped, so, we are housebound together. We read, surf the web and listen to jazz all day. This would save the CD shuffle and scratch.

  24. I’ve been a gadgeteer reader since I bought my first pocket pc about 6 years ago. This would be a great addition to my office so that have some music while they work. Thanks.

  25. Twitter name = klcoll

This would be perfect for us – my wife and I could finally clear out our massive combined CD collections. It’s more than a little out of hand, and neither of us really wants to get rid of anything. Plus she would be able to stream it anywhere in the house w/o cranking the volume to 11.

  26. Following you on Twitter as bigguysmama. Here’s the link to my RT: http://twitter.com/bigguysmama/status/5727288888
I have a hard time trying to think of “why” we deservie it compared to anyone else. Shall I play on your sympathy even tho the randomizer will choose the winner? 🙂 I’m a single mom with 4 kids and it would be a great gift for one of my teenagers. If it’s not something they would want, I know I’d love to put all my CDs that sit in a basket onto it. One less pile around the house! Who doesn’t want that? 🙂 Plus, I personally don’t have a CD player and out in the boonies we don’t get reception for a radio. The only time I hear music at the house is when it streams from online. Thanks for this offer!

  27. My hubby plays in two bands and he is always recording, storing and listening to music on his PC. This Music Server would be a DREAM!
    Regards

  28. I have around 1500 legitimately purchased CDs so this would be a sublime solution to my audiophile needs!

  32. Twitter: gadgetryan

I may love all new tech but for music I still have my cd collection, plus my music singles in cassette form that I bought when I was a kid, and some good old vinyl from my wanna-be dj days..Plus its new and shiny!! 🙂

    Good luck all!!

  33. I’m a huge techhead and need to rip my old music into something my wife will actually use. I used to walk by the Olive offices in San Francisco on my way to a client, love the product’s simplicty and design.

I deserve this to help spread holiday cheer with the extended family when they are over for the holidays!

  39. I deserve to win because I’ve followed the instructions, I’ve obeyed the rules, and I consider the Olive Opus 4 Hi-Fi Music Server a fine centerpiece for the audio system I’d like to put together.

    Twitter: @geek4life1986

  40. @billjones

Nothing is more relaxing at the end of the day than to kick back and get lost in some great music. The Olive Opus music server looks like a great way to extend that experience to the whole house. Thanks for running the contest.

    Bill

  41. Twitter name: CRA1G
I would love to win the Olive Opus music server because our CD collection (~1400 discs) takes up way, way too much space and I’d love to be able to store them away without losing access to the high-fidelity sound quality of the originals. The OOMS sounds (ha!) like it would fit the bill perfectly. Thanks, Julie!

  42. Twitter name: SilvrDrgn
I’ve been an audiophile and avid fan of all kinds of music all my life. This would be the ultimate solution for me to listen to all my music anywhere I go!

  43. Twitter name: motley_muse . As musicians and music lovers with a huge music collection, my family would love this gadget! It would also be a great toy right now while I’m on bedrest due to a complicated pregnancy.

  44. Twitter name: sourkraut
It’s time to consolidate our music collection and actually get to LISTEN to it more often, and the Olive Opus music server would be a HUGE help in that effort. Thanks!

  45. Twitter Name: herronm
Let me just say, that I am a music lover. I have been a professional drummer for 40 years. My music has been in formats no longer used (8 track, cassetts, 45s, LPs,…). I have over 50 gig of MP3s right now and need this system. Thanks Gadgeteer and Olive.

  46. I already follow @thegadgeteer and love your reviews – I learn so much! Don’t know if I will be eligible since my tweets are private. Twitter name = chanteuse64
I’m a musician and would love to be able to get all my music in one place – but available in every room! Did not even know this existed but it sounds terrific!
I don’t really deserve to win though — many of the other commenters NEED this more…

  47. Twitter name: @SeahorseSoft

This would be awesome to stream music throughout the house. Our 1yr old loves to dance to music, so we need tunes all over the place 🙂

  48. Twitter Name: @mattpenning

We have a 9 inch tv as the only television in the house, which makes music one of our primary means of entertainment along with reading, working on photography and relaxing with each other.

The Olive Opus 4 would be perfect to house our LP collection, and the countless CDs which we own. Having all our music sourced from one central location and library would be a dream come true!

  49. twitter handle: rtanph

i’d love to win this – my dad has always been such a music fan, and he keeps saying he’d like to sit back and relax to his music someday. if i get this for him he would have access to it in one place, without him shuffling to change the discs every time.

thanks for running the contest, and more power to The Gadgeteer!

  50. It would be great to stream music all over the house from my eclectic collection. Thanks for the contest. Love the Gadgeteer reviews.

  51. Twitter: exillinimj

I am a huge music fan. I have over 600 CDs and also over 75 GBs of MP3s on my computer. This would be a great addition to my stereo (and I could get rid of my CD player!).

  52. Twitter Name: stemu2000

Ever listened to Japanese radio? – It’s terrible, too much talk and japanese singers can’t sing. I sooooooooo need a good audio player to keep me entertained while i am staying on this little island here!

ps: I read the rules and I have an US shipping address … should i be the lucky winner.

  53. Hi Julie! I’m @robodaniel and am a long-term Gadgeteer fan. I’ve been a digital music convert for several years. Back in ’05 I blogged about my digital music [conversion] project and I haven’t slowed since.

Back when we had TiVo, I had a way to get music from my PC to the living room, but alas, that was not to last. (I jumped ship when HD became available via my cable provider and I couldn’t justify the high price of the HD TiVo. But i sure do miss the TiVo’s smarts!!)

This server would be a fantastic way for me to get my music back out of the home office and into the living room where it belongs!

  54. Twitter Name: phancao

I deserve to be the lucky winner of an Olive Opus 4 Hi-Fi Music Server because I’m a good person, I love music and I followed all your instructions.

  55. Twitter id @katmagick

My radios don’t work up here on the mountain. Even satellite radio doesn’t work in the house. This would be a great alternative to radio. Since I have piles of cd’s every where, this could clear out the clutter. I would look foward to filling up the 1500 slots with some new cd’s since I don’t have that many.

  56. Twitter ID @kinggrahamx

I deserve to win this prize because my aging CD towers get so dusty that my poor kitties are sneezing all the time. Please help my kitties.

  57. twitter name: dbrandmeyer

I deserve to win because this will help me to convince my wife that HTPCs (and devices like this) can co-exist with other pieces without disruption to her normal listening/viewing habits. The Xbox, PS3, and Wii all can do this, but not as well.

  58. Twitter name: MajorHavoc
I deserve to win because I am always getting yelled at for leaving my CD’s strewn around in a mess after I’ve gone searching for that perfect song to listen to!

    Thank you Gadgeteer!

  59. From @jmpm3
The Olive Opus 4 looks like the gold standard in new digital music components. I can’t wait to hook it up!

    Thanks,

    Jim

  60. twitter name: JSDraw2009

I deserve to win this (a) because, despite having resolved never to join Twitter, I actually joined Twitter just to be eligible, and (b) because I have more than 3,000 CDs so I can put this to very good use. Thank you.

  61. Twitter Name: ferris209
I am a rabid music collector, I love old country music and have amassed a collection of over 1200 CD’s, mostly from Bear Family Records of Germany who restores the old country, rock, and bluegrass stuff. I could dang sure use this to store my massive collection. Plus, I am a poor country boy cop that just don’t have many luxeries outside of my music.

  62. Twitter Name: William13540

Been following the Gadgeteer forever. Hoping to get lucky and end my cd collection.

  63. Id love to get this for my better half… he’s not all that into technology, but he loves music and has tons of cd’s which are everywhere.

  64. Twitter name: LeotheThird

Love music but trying to unclutter my life and move more things to digital before the wife throws things out. Help a music junkie out!

  65. My pointless drivel can be followed @xeonrage

Having just moved into a new house the process of aquiring, expanding, and pushing the boundaries of home tech has begun anew. This would be a beautiful start for someone with over 500gb of mp3’s that demand to be heard. 🙂

  66. Having not used my twitter account in over a year, you gave me hope that the world is indeed fair and worthless scum like me can indeed walk away from this rock in a better state. And with that, I tweeted.

Not to mention the Opus 4 rocks a fat ass. I’ll end up spending (going into credit card debt) the $1500 you saved me on new gear to go with it. Have I said thanks?!?

    Thanks Again 🙂

    Twitter: jspanitz

  67. never believe on easy winning…suprise me so that I can at least testify to others that this was a real thing and not another….
