Leather

Working in the technology industry, I get a fair amount of products in the mail. Over time, I have become less enthusiastic about package deliveries. I love opening boxes and trying new things, but I no longer obsessively check tracking numbers multiple times a day or intercept the delivery man as he is walking up to my sidewalk. However, there are still a few products that I await the arrival of with bated breath: in this instance, a Vaja leather case for my iPhone.

You know a device has hit milestones in popularity when
Vaja makes a case for it.
Not that there was really any doubt that the
iPhone wasn’t going
to end up being as  uber-popular as it is. But just incase you didn’t know,
the iPhone is crazy popular, and as a result there are now several Vaja cases
for it. The first one we’re going to look at here on The Gadgeteer is the
iVolution Holster.

I recently upgraded my PDA from a T2 to the Palm T|X. I was somewhat disappointed when I got the T|X to see that it only came with a flimsy flip cover. (Not much screen protection there.) Since I had a Vaja case for my T2, I wanted to check out the Vaja cases for the T|X.

I have owned almost every wireless-capable Palm/Treo since the days of
the Vx and Omnisky. The routine is always the same, quick, buy the
newest Palm Phone when it comes out, laugh at everyone else who can’t
buy one because they are sold out, and then spend the next few weeks
deciding if it needs a case and what case to buy.

I think that it’s safe to say that most of the gadget geeks that read this site will automatically think of one company when a person mentions the words leather and luxury in the same sentence. That company is Vaja. But did you all know that Vaja wasn’t the first company to bring opulent PDA / gadget cases to market? Before Vaja, there was a company in Italy called Ondata. Ondata later turned into Orbino. While not as prolific as Vaja, Orbino cases mix old world craftsmanship with a touch of industrial design.

I am going to take a tiny bit of credit for the product that I’ll be reviewing today, so if you like it, let me know. If you don’t like it…well, what’s not to like? Here’s the story: Soon after I purchased my PPC-6700, also known as the HTC Apache, I contacted Vaja and asked [...]

I think that many HTC Apache owners would agree that they use their PDA Phone without a headset more often than not. Even though the 6700 is a little brick, it can comfortably be held to the face when talking without making its owner look like a complete tool. For that reason alone, I think [...]

Looking for the perfect HTC Apache case has turned into an obsession for quite a few of the device’s owners. But what is perfect for one person may be the ultimate deal-breaker for another. Some people want a case that protects every corner and surface, while others want the thinnest possible design – one that [...]

I recently purchased a Treo 650 and like most people, I needed a case to protect my new toy. Having purchased cases from EBcases before, I quickly went to their site to see what was available for my Treo and I was presently surprised by the eNovo case. The eNovo case is a hard leather [...]

Over the years, I have had many Vaja cases to protect my PDAs. All very stylish and unmatched in quality. These trends continue with Vaja’s PA21 Palm T5 case. That being said, I believe Vaja could add a few options to make this case even better. As usual, the rich leather smell, artistry, and quality [...]

First I want to thank Judie for this opportunity. I love the Gadgeteer site and this was a great chance to contribute. (Shameless sucking up finished, now to the review); I just got the Qtek 9100 Windows Mobile phone and was looking for a case for it when I read the post asking for a [...]

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the appearance of cases for the HTC Apache since I bought mine, and I am happy to report that they are finally starting to appear. That’s not to say that pouch-style versions haven’t been available for some time, but what I really wanted was a case in which I could keep [...]

itzkitz has a new offering. This time around it’s a leather / metal combo case for 4th generation Apple iPods (40gb and 60gb color models). Styled after the popular Vaja iVod cases, this one has a shiny chrome back with your choice of a Black, White or Pink hard shell fined grained leather top. The [...]

Vaja iVod cases have always been very popular. The problem is that they are expensive and not everyone that would like to buy one, can actually afford one. Now there is another choice for a case that is almost identical in design and style. The eNOVO for the Apple iPod nano from E&B Cases is [...]

My Apple iPod nano has been waiting patiently for a Vaja iVod case for a couple months now. So, it was very happy when the Fedex person dropped not one, but two of them off on my door step the other day. Available in 30 solid colors, and 32 dual colors, this hard shell Catrina [...]

Marware has been busy creating a whole slew of cases for the Apple iPod nano digital music player. I’m going to give you a peek at their 3 latest creations. A mussilicon cover, leather credit card wallet case and a sporty case that can be worn on your belt or arm. Sport Grip This silicon [...]

When I was looking for a case to hold my U2 Edition iPod, one of the biggest considerations was that it stay true to the digital music player’s striking red and black coloring. Of course I wanted protection for my iPod from the occasional fit of butterfingers, but I also wanted a case that would [...]

Whether it’s for a PDA, or a MP3 player, Vaja knows how to protect gadgets with a combination of both style substance and style. The substance part is taken care of beautifully with high quality leather, stitching and findings. When it comes to style, Vaja set the bar a long time ago. No one makes [...]

Trying to decide on a perfect case for your Apple iPod nano can be very hard to do, considering all of the currently available choices on the market. There are metal cases, plastic cases, silicon cases, and of course, leather cases. I tend to prefer the leather ones. I don’t know if it’s the feel, [...]

I haven’t had the Apple iPod nano all that long, but have already had the chance to test out several cases for it, including a silicon and aluminum case. This will be my first review of leather cases for the nano though. The folks at PDAir sent me their version 1 leather flip and sleeve [...]
