Do you remember my review of the Sega Toys HomeStar Planetarium a few years ago? It was a projector that would turn your ceiling into a starry night. Sega’s latest gadget is the Mangekyorooms Kaleidoscope Projector. Mangekyo in Japanese means kaleidoscope. But instead of shining stars on your ceiling, it will generate a rotating collection of colorful geometric shapes. What’s even better is that it will not show the same designs twice – you control it by using a packet of colored beads. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by kaleidoscopes. I guess I still am as this device looks like a lot of fun to me.
