Do you prefer flashlights that can use regular old Alkaline batteries instead of special lithium cells that are expensive and hard to find? Me too. That’s why I was more than happy to test the LD20 from Fenix.

I always enjoy receiving flashlights from Discount LED Lights & Knives to review. They sell the German made LED Lenser products, which are extremely nice. One of the latest LED Lenser flashlights in the new HP (High Performance) line that has come on the market is the P7. This light is unique in that it has a focusable lens and is super bright.

I live in a rural area that seems to have power issues on a semi-regular basis. Either during storms or even on a perfectly nice day,
there will be at least a couple times a month when the power will go out. Most of the time it is a fast down / up sort of thing, but
then there are times when it will stay down for a couple of hours at a time. It’s typically not a big deal during daylight hours, but
nine times out of ten, it will happen at night. During those times, it’s always a crap shoot if I can find a flashlight that is charged
and ready to go. Now I don’t have to worry about the status of my flashlight battery, because I have the LifeLight Mega-Function Lantern
from LifeGear.

Most gear heads probably already have an LED flashlight (or two) at the bottom of their gear bag or stashed in a desk drawer. They are handy tools that we all need to use every now and then, but for the most part, they aren’t all that exciting… The Tri-L LED flashlight from AltusLumen that I’m going to show you today though, has a couple of great features that I think will impress you.

Last year I reviewed the Coast LED Lenser Auto LED (TT7575), a nifty little LED flashlight specifically designed to fit in your car’s 12V power port (cigarette lighter socket). Like anything that is new and useful, imitations start to appear. Today I want to show you the Spotlight LED flashlight from Weiguo Solutions. Let’s see if this little flashlight is either a lame copy of the original, or a much better version.

I have reviewed several very well made LED flashlights from Surefire and Brite-Strike. The WorkStar 440 by Maxxeon falls into the same vein of high quality, LED flashlights but with one significant difference, a 10 inch flexible neck that the LED head is attached to.

The Kroma and U2 Ultra are both exceptionally well designed and constructed
LED flashlights made by SureFire. Overall their basic form, function, and technologies are the same. Both are small enough to carry in your computer bag, backpack, purse, or coat pocket. And while they are not really a tech-toy, they certainly qualify as a well crafted piece of equipment.

The Protector Series Tactical Illumination Tool by Brite-Strike is a small, well
made flashlight. The Protector-1C is the smaller of the two flashlights within
the Protector series and is ideal for carrying in your computer bag, purse,
or coat pocket. And even though it’s not really a tech-toy, its pretty cool none the less.

Although I’ve never been camping in my life, I seem to have an unnatural fetish for outdoor gear like pocket knives, compasses and flashlights. I enjoy going into stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods and spending time looking at all their gear. If you prefer online browsing, a store that specializes in knives and flashlights is Discount LED Lights and Knives. In the past, they have sent me several LED flashlights to review and the most recent product that I’ve had the opportunity to try out is the Coast LED Lenser TT7105 LED Lantern. While I didn’t get a chance to test this product on an actual camping trip, I did test it a couple of times during my version of a ‘roughing it’ activity… power failures at home ;o)

I’m such a loser. All my friends and family agree with me: I have a terrible habit of losing USB thumb drives. Not only have I left them in the most unlikely of places, but I have also laundered them, stepped on them, and even left them out in the rain. A few of the drives I’ve owed over the years have included a neck lanyard, but I’ve never used them because they look so ugly.

How many of you keep a flashlight in the glove compartment of your car? Ok, now how many of you ever remember to charge / change
the batteries in those flashlights regularly? Me neither. Kind of defeats the purpose of having it there in the first

Are you the type of person that prides themselves as always being prepared for any situation? You know the type, they pack 5 pairs of socks and underwear for an overnight trip. They carry a first aid kit in their car, stow extra house keys at work, etc. Well, if you fall into this category, then I think you will be very interested in the FlareSafe flashlight from FlareBrands Limited. What’s that? You say you already carry a flashlight with you? Ok, I knew that… But does your flashlight double as a smoke detector and a distress alarm? I didn’t think so!

I am a huge fan of white LEDs. Light Emitting Diodes are bright, compact, and require little power, which makes them perfect for small spaces. While reorganizing my utility closet last winter, I became frustrated that it did not have any built-in source of light. Briefly contemplating the idea of rewiring of my house, I decided to look for a battery powered light source made to stick to a wall or ceiling.
