Forget the X-Files…the Coolness Factor is the Truth that’s Out There… While most people like to read the Gadgeteer to find out the latest in cool, new electronic gadgetry, it’s important to remember that gadgets aren’t ALWAYS electronic.  Sometimes they just have to be cool.  Something you can’t help but look at.  Something you can’t [...]

Those of you that frequent Starbucks and other coffee shops are quite familiar with the thin cardboard collars that can be slid over your cup to keep your hand from melting. The guys at amronexperimental.com have come up with a much niftier alternative. It’s the Heatswell coffee cup. I has the insulating collar built right [...]

I am a sucker for anything that functions via USB.  Funky shaped flash drives, licensed character hubs that recite theme songs and quotes, and little creatures that perform random repetitive actions have all found their way to my desk at one time or another.  When a USB-based beverage warmer and cooler from Convenient Gadgets & Gifts [...]

There might not be much to be said for your average and sundry water cooler and dispenser…unless you’re me.  I was never sold on water coolers.  When they first came out, sure they were cool and the water delivery man could usually be counted on to be really cute with great looking legs.  And in [...]

Here’s one for my fellow tea enthusiasts. It’s the TeaSub submarine shaped tea infuser. It’s made of dishwasher safe silicone and looks cute as a button. You can find it a Giftlab for £7.95 [Via Gizmodo]

You ever wanted an ice-cold beverage but were sitting too comfortably to get up to quench your thirst?  This gadget might be the tool that solves just such a dilemma.  The RC Cooler InteractiveToy Concepts is a remote-controlled cooler.  You might recall that Julie posted a comment on the site about this on 3-Dec-2009. Let’s check [...]

I’m not a huge water drinker, but the person I live with doesn’t go anywhere without a bottle of water. We buy multi-packs of Aquafina and other name brand bottled water when it is on sale. Even though we recycle the empty plastic bottles, I still feel guilty buying them. That’s why I’ve been trying [...]

Just like spending time in Australia, the BottleMate just makes things fun.  The BottleMate looks like a cross between a fingernail clipper and fifteenth century torture device.  Its purpose, however, is to access necessary liquid contained in otherwise locked up containers.  Ok it’s a beer bottle opener.  But it’s fun.

Here’s another stocking stuffer idea for your favorite wino… I mean alcoholic beverage connoisseur. It’s the BottleMate bottle opener. It’s unlike any bottle opener I’ve seen before. You just push down on the cap and it removes it swiftly and easy. There’s a short video demonstration on their website that makes me want to try [...]

How about a rolling beverage cooler that you can control with a handheld remote control? Is this the product for obese tailgate party attendants or brilliant geeky party hosts? Either way, it’s a fun product that has room for 12 cans or bottles with ice. It can roll up to 40 feet from the host [...]

The H2Only 25 oz. water bottle from US Canteen has a built in Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration system that removes toxic chemicals, detergents, pesticides, and agricultural waste, as well as dissolved solids such as arsenic, aluminum, zinc, asbestos, copper, lead, mercury, and chromium 6. It also removes dirt, sediment, E-Coli Bacteria, DDT, MTBE, Benzene, and Chloroforms, which [...]

There are plenty o’ devices and gizmos out there to help keep your coffee hot, but for those who prefer refreshments at the opposite side of the thermometer there is only a dearth of either lame Styrofoam “coozies” or tepid “peltier effect” boxes with fans.  But I had forgotten about The Fridge — a freezable [...]

Fixing the perfect cup of tea requires not only the right tea leaves, but also the correct water temperature to steep them in. Sure, you can boil water and pour it over a tea bag and make a cup of tea that tastes ok. But to bring out the real flavor, the water has to [...]

Well, OK, maybe not guaranteed, but it might be a good start.  If you’re in need of de-cluttering (and we know who we are), check out the USB Drink Warmer with 4-port USB Hub from Vat19.  Although this is another of those gadgets which has been subtlety named to disguise its functionality, for the sake [...]

The alarm is going off again—it’s 6:30am and you’ve already hit the snooze button twice.  As you begrudgingly exit the bed and stumble around your bedroom you realize that, once again, you forgot to program the coffee maker the night before—and you need to be dressed and out the door in the next thirty minutes.  [...]

Let it not be said that I’m a tea snob… Here’s an interesting gadget for my coffee loving gadget buddies. It’s the Hourglass Coffee Maker, a cold brewing coffee system. You fill one section with fresh coffee grounds, pour in cold water, leave on the counter over night and wake up in the morning with [...]

There are two beverages that I would be hard pressed to live without. Tea and Diet Coke. I love tea, but I’m addicted to Diet Coke. I drink the 20 ounce plastic bottles from vending machines at work and cans at home. Even though I recycle, I often feel guilty at the number of bottles [...]

Here’s another Earth Day idea… It’s the “I am not a paper cup…” cup. It sure looks like a paper cup, but it’s actually a porcelain cup with a silicone lid. It might look like it’s more a novelty product, than something serious, but it has double walls to keep your beverage insulated and hot. [...]
