crowdfund

This week we have four crowdfunding projects that range from toys to wallets and productivity tools. Click through for all the campaign details.

Fidget Cube: A Vinyl Desk Toy

What is it?
The Fidget Cube is desk toy for grownups who like to fidget with their hands. It reminds me of activity playsets for babies that have buttons to push, switches to flip, spinners to spin and more.

Why do I like it?
I like the Fidget because you won’t get bored with it since it has 7 different fidget activities to choose from. There’s a switch that looks like a light switch that flips back and forth, a joystick thingy, a ball bearing that spins and clicks, worry stone divot, spinning gears, spinning dial and simulated bubble wrap buttons that click.

They sent me a prototype to try out and it’s crazy fun and is small enough to carry in your pocket. You just have to be careful to not leave it out on your desk unattended because someone it will be very tempting for someone to steal it.

Scrubba Weightless Wallet

What is it?
The Scrubba Weightless wallet is a wallet for people with an active lifestyle.

Why do I like it?
It’s a cheap, tough and lightweight wallet designed to protect your cards and money.

Check out Ian Lim’s full review of the Scrubba Weightless wallet.

Ledr workbook

What is it?
The Ledr workbook is a custom designed journal and a full-grain leather notebook cover.

Why do I like it?
It’s made of leather and it’s a journal. What’s not to like? Seriously though, the Ledr features a 144 page 3.5″ X 5.5″ notebook that has a lay-flat binding. Then there’s the cover, which has a cool wrap around design and includes holders for multiple pens and pencils, and a pocket for cards and papers.

With 25 days left in the campaign, The Ledr workbook campaign has already exceeded their funding goal of $1000. You can pre-order a Ledr workbook for $65. After the Ledr workbook campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in December 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

iPin Spatial Ruler

What is it?
The iPin Spatial Ruler is a tiny laser measuring device that plugs into the headphone jack of your iPhone – at least if it’s not a new iPhone 7 that no longer has a headphone jack.

Why do I like it?
Frickin lasers! Nuff said! Ok, I’ll say a little more. The iPin Ruler looks like it could be a handy tool for your minimalist toolbox. If it really works, it would be more convenient than using a traditional metal ruler because it automatically records your measurement in an app. No more forgetting what you just measured before you get a chance to write it down.

I reviewed their iPin Laser Presenter about 3 years ago, so this company does have a history of creating products.

Where can I find more info?
With only 5 days left in the campaign, The iPin Spatial Ruler campaign has already greatly exceeded their funding goal of $25,000. You can pre-order an iPin Spatial Ruler for $36. After the iPin Spatial Ruler campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in December 2016. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.
