When you think of Garmin, pet activity trackers are probably not the first product that comes to mind. The Delta Smart is an on-collar training, obedience and activity tracker device that has been designed especially for dogs of all sizes and coat lengths. The device works with the iOS and Android Garmin Canine app to track when your pet is active, for how long and at what intensity level. The device and app also help you modify bad behaviors like excessive barking.

With the Garmin Canine mobile app, you can use your smartphone as a remote handheld trainer. Reinforce the behaviors you want from your dog — and discourage the ones you don’t. Simply press a key on your phone’s display, and your dog will receive a vibration, tone alert or corrective stimulation from the electronic collar. The signal gets your dog’s attention and allows you to safely and effectively provide a deterrent to unwanted or annoying behaviors.

The Garmin Delta Smart Dog Training System is priced at $149.99 – $179.99 USD and will be available soon from Garmin and retail sites like Amazon.

Garmin will not define what “Stimulation” comprises, only that it is adjustable! Also, Garmin does not respond to questions about this device and how it works.

      2. “Simply press a key on your phone’s display, and your dog will receive a vibration, tone alert or corrective stimulation from the electronic collar. ” … “corrective stimulation” – Garmin you have lost a customer (for cycling and activity trackers for human and a previous buyer of the Astro tracker). You can’t even be honest about what this medieval torture device does. It doesn’t deliver a “corrective stimulation” it SHOCKS dogs. Maybe you can develop a fitness tracker for people where a coach can “correctively stimulate” an athlete and see how that sells. What a bunch of idiots.

  2. This is basically a shock collar that comes with a smartphone app and proximity sensor. This product is illegal in a number of countries including Wales. If you want to train your dog then go to a puppy training class or hire a qualified dog trainer. Dog training relies on the relationship between the owner and the dog, this does nothing to improve that.

  3. I don’t know why people are getting so butt hurt. There are a million other collars out there that do the same 3 types of corrective training with a push of a button. You guys are just whining because a major company made one. You don’t have to use the corrective stimulation, that is up to the owner. And before you start complaining to me that it’s cruel I have a bark collar for my dog and before I put it on her I tried it on myself. It actually doesn’t hurt one bit, it felt like a little pinch on my throat. My girl has never yelp in pain or cried because of it. It just distracts her enough to get her to stop bark. Yes I will be getting this collar. I’m tried of changing the expensive batteries in my current one.
