Terrapin iPhone case-01

I like simple phone cases.  Unfortunately, most cases kind of detract from the original, simple lines of the iPhone.  The Terrapin TPU cases are simple and effective.  Let’s take a look.

I was sent a white and a black sample.

The cases are smooth and shiny on the outside, and unusually matte on the inside.  I’ve never seen that before.  In fact, I couldn’t find a bit of branding anywhere.  If you like logo-free things, this is the case for you.  Terrapin iPhone case-04TPU plastic is flexible and very forgiving.  It goes on your phone easily without any fuss.Terrapin iPhone case-05The top edge of the case is raised just slightly so you can put your phone face-down without touching the glass.  All the cutouts are there, but I noticed the bottom openings were slightly misaligned on my iPhone 6S Plus.  I didn’t have an older iPhone 6 Plus to test.

If you look closely, you can see the faint outline of the volume buttons.  In practice, the outlines don’t help a whole lot with tactile feedback.  If you like super-clicky buttons, this isn’t it.

Here’s my phone in both the black and white cases.  I kind of like the Stormtrooper look with the white case.

The Terrapin Apple iPhone 6 Plus & 6S Plus TPU case is sleek and simple.  The cutout precision isn’t the greatest, and the side buttons don’t give a lot of tactile feedback.  But at this price, it’s certainly better than no protection at all.
