AR (Augmented Reality) is finally taking off in a big way since the uber-popular Pokémon Go game made its debut a few weeks ago. AR is definitely a cool way to make games more fun, but there’s more to it than that. Augment, a company based in New York City, Orlando and Paris is using this technology to allow people to “test drive” products before they’re in your hands. Augment offers a mobile app to that can be used to view and share 3D models in Augmented Reality. The video above shows an animated 3D model of the Google Home Speaker which won’t be available until later this year, but with AR, you can get a sense of how this product would fit in with your home’s decor. For more info about Augment and to download the free app to browser the model library, visit Augment.com
