crowdfund

This week I’m featuring four crowdfunding campaigns from Kickstarter that have caught my eye for being unique and worth checking out. Click through to check out this week’s list of notable Kickstarter projects.

Carbon Fiber Travel Guitars || KLOS Guitars 2.0

What is it?
The Carbon Fiber Travel Guitar is a small parlor sized guitar that has been designed specifically with the traveler in mind. The body is made from carbon fiber, a strong but light material that has excellent protection against dents, cracks, temperature and humidity.

Why do I like it?
I’ve always had a thing for small guitars (so much so that I ended up switching to the ukulele) and I like this one because the mahogany neck folds down making it more compact for travel.

The Carbon Fiber Travel Guitars || KLOS Guitars 2.0 campaign has already passed their funding goal of $12,000 with 27 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order a guitar for $499 with an estimated delivery date of October 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Brik Tile | Lego™ Compatible Wall Tiles

What is it?
Brik Tile | Lego™ Compatible Wall Tiles are 10×10 inch stick on LEGO base plate tiles for your walls.

Why do I like it?
Because it’s LEGO! These tiles look like a really fun way to add some art or even cool little gear holders to your walls. They have a temporary adhesive that can be removed and applied multiple times.

The Brik Tile | Lego™ Compatible Wall Tiles campaign has already surpassed their funding goal of $30,000 with 25 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order a 2 piece starter set for $15 with an estimated delivery date of October 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

MONKII BARS 2

What is it?
MONKII BARS 2 is a portable gym for core workouts when you travel or even a no clutter workout system for home and outdoors.

Why do I like it?
I like the idea of being able to carry a small “gym” with me when I’m on vacation so I won’t get out of the habit if I’m away from home and my regular weekly workout routine. I’ve always found it tough to get back to working out when I return from a week or longer of not exercising. MONKII BARS 2 looks like a cool way to maintain fitness without carrying a lot of gear.

Where can I find more info?
The MONKII BARS 2 campaign has already doubled their funding goal of $50,000 with 41 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order the starter kit for $98 with an estimated delivery date of January 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Orbitkey 2.0

What is it?
Orbitkey 2.0 is a key organizer that is made of rubber, canvas or leather and can hold your 2-7 of your existing keys and other gear in a compact package.

Why do I like it?
I’m a sucker for cool looking ways to organize keys and keep them in a compact package that doesn’t jingle. I like the Orbitkey because it’s a simple design, doesn’t require you to modify your keys and looks really classy. They even offer specially designed tools like a USB stick and multi-tool.

Where can I find more info?
The Orbitkey 2.0 campaign has already earned more than 7 times their funding goal of $20,000 with 53 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order an Orbitkey 2.0 for $22-30 with an estimated delivery date of November 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
