Yeah, me neither. But, according to Dr. Catsby, whisker fatigue is a real thing that can stress cats when their ultra-sensitive whiskers get over-stimulated by touching things like the sides of their food bowl. When this problem occurs, cats can refuse to eat and/or flick their food on the floor around their dish. If I didn’t have a cat, I might think this was a completely ridiculous ploy to convince cat owners to buy this specially designed feeding bowl. But the thing is that sometimes my cat refuses to eat his food after just bugging me to feed him. He also likes to flip his food out on the floor. Maybe all this time his whiskers were just sore! The Dr. Catsby bowl has been designed with sloping sides that keep all the food in the center of the bowl instead of in the corners where kitty has to smoosh his face (and whiskers) to retrieve the cat kibble morsels. The Dr. Catsby bowl is made of stainless steel and has a removable rubber mat on the bottom to keep the bowl from sliding around on the floor. It’s dishwasher safe and is priced at $19.99.
