Fitness tracking devices are available in a variety of colors and styles that range from feminine to sporty, and from flashy to utilitarian. But there aren’t that many fitness devices that pair the classic look of a wrist watch with technology that tracks your steps and sleep patterns. Withings did it with their Activité watches and now Garmin is doing the same with their vívomove fitness tracking watch. I guess there’s some kind of unwritten law that says if you are going to put fitness tracking features in a watch, you have to use a name that includes an accent mark over one letter.

The Garmin vívomove is available in six different styles and features a move bar and a step counter bar that are both easily viewed on the watch face. The red move bar builds with every 15 minutes of inactivity until you reset it by walking for a couple of minutes, and the step bar shows your progress towards your daily step goal. The vívomove also tracks your sleep and automatically syncs with Garmin Connect, and with a 1-year battery life, you won’t need to worry about charging it every night. Prices for the vívomove range from $149.99 – $299.99 depending on the style. For more information and to be notified when the watch becomes available, visit Garmin.
