If I kept better track of my emails, I would guess that I receive 20-50 emails a week from people wanting me to promote their Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects. You might think I’m mean, but I delete the vast majority of these emails because I don’t have time to write a whole post about each one. In an effort to give exposure to some of the projects that pique my interest, I’m going to start posting a weekly round up like this one with a list of a few campaigns that I think are worth a look, or are something I’d personally buy for myself. Identity Wallet
What is it? This is a minimalist wallet that is made of carbon fiber which has been folded into a Z shape so that there are two sides that can hold 1 to 8 cards. The cards can then fan out with a quick swipe of your finger for easy removal.
Why do I like it? I’m into minimalism right now, so I appreciate the simple design and the fact that it looks like it would make a great front pocket wallet that holds my most needed cards with no bulk and easy access.

WaterStrider
What is it? WaterStrider is a special accessory for the DJI Phantom 3 series drone. It has been specially designed to add floats to the drone’s landing gear. It allows the drone to land on water, snow, sand, rocks and other rugged terrain by adding extra stability.
Why do I like it? The thought of filming water take-offs and landings with a drone just sounds cool. It also looks like it would make landings a little safer.

TellyMount
What is it? A specially designed adjustable holder that mounts your smartphone above your TV or monitor so you can use the smartphone’s camera for motion sensing games, Skype calls and Facetime with family. By using Apple TV or Chromecast to mirror your iOS or Android device to your TV, Telly Mount puts your smartphone at the correct location for eye contact for video calls.
Why do I like it? It looks like an easy and inexpensive way to extend the use of smartphones for more entertainment (motion sensing games) and real-time video calls with friends and family. I also like that it doesn’t require screws, adhesives, suction cups, magnets or anything else to mount the holder to the TV.

Awesome kickstarter campaign roundup. Knowing my passion for drones, I definitely like the idea of adding floats to my DJI Phantom and landing it on water. I guess my biggest concern is the chance of accidentally landing my drone in water or if something were to happen to the floats themselves. Otherwise, the idea looks awesome!
