Dash cams are becoming a popular gadget for car owners. They tend to be a set and forget type of gadgets that you only need when something unusual or bad happens, like an accident. The new Cobra Electronics CDR875G Dash Cam has all the features that you’ve come to expect with a dash cam like automatic video recording, 160° viewing angle, built in GPS and collision detection. But the new CDR875G also can be used as an action camera like a GoPro, captures 1080P full HD video, links to your phone via Bluetooth for enabled alerts to red light cameras, speed cameras, live police locations, and shared radar alerts. The camera has an MSRP of $179.95. Visit Cobra for more info.

  2. Note: read some of the Amazon comments before deciding if this is for you. It does NOT have “built-in GPS” – it gets GPS information from its Bluetooth connection to your phone AND the phone *must* be actively running the iRadar app. So it’s not just turn on your car and drive.

    1. The Amazon link goes to the earlier model (855BT) without built in gps. Cobra’s site claims the 875G has built in GPS.
