Whether the new Fluance Fi70 Bluetooth speaker is the best sounding Bluetooth speaker as Fluance claims remains to be seen. Only a review can determine that, but the Fi70 may qualify as the largest Bluetooth speaker yet. This 81 lb. monster will certainly fill a large room with high quality audio. At the core of the Fi70 are dual 8” woofers, dual 5” glass fiber midrange drivers and dual 1” neodymium tweeters. Its 280 watt built-in amplifier delivers bass response as low as 30Hz (that’s pretty darn low). The Fi70 can replace complete home stereo systems, sound bars or other audio solutions.
The Fi70 has an elegant hand-made wood cabinet that reduces resonance for accurate response, increased warmth and an overall more natural sound. There are convenient features, such as auxiliary input, touch controls, digital AM/FM radio, LED display, a USB port to simultaneously charge USB-powered devices and high-quality aptX Bluetooth streaming. The speaker’s integrated equalizer allows adjustable treble and bass. It can also be utilized to amplify the sound of a television with its optical input.
The Fi70 is available now in Black Ash, Lucky Bamboo and Natural Walnut at fluance.com for $499 US.
