The Easybreath full-faced snorkeling mask by Tribord allows you to breathe normally through your nose while exploring the fascinating world just beneath the surface of the ocean (or the not-so-fascinating world of your pool). This is a surface snorkeling mask that uses a dry top system to prevent water from entering the snorkel due to choppy water or just leaning your head to far forward in the water. In addition, the moisture rich air that you exhale is vectored through the white frame of the mask where it exits the snorkel thus avoiding any fogging problems (you must keep the mask clean by hand washing each week for antifogging to work). There’s even a purge valve located at the bottom of the mask that allows you to drain any water when your head is raised. Unfortunately, this mask is not made for free diving because the dry top system “does not work in the horizontal position while duck diving”, the pressure on the mask is uncomfortable beyond a one meter depth, and it is difficult to equalize your ears since your nose is completely covered by the mask.

It has a polypropylene frame, a silicone skirt to help seal the mask around your face, and a polycarbonate window that provides a 180° view. The developers of this mask originate in Hendaye, France but now sell their Easybreath masks in the United States through Amazon in blue, pink, and atoll (aqua) colors. They range in price from $105 for the L/XL mask in blue to $179 for the S/M mask in atoll.

  2. My wife has astma and can’t use a regular snorkel. This may be perfect for her.

And I like the full face, no-fog mask.

  3. Only problem being – if you panic and tilt your head backwards while trying to thread the water, or get covered by a wave and panic… you die, because you can’t yank this thing quickly enough off your face. Source: qualified diver…

      1. I would think any unqualified person Who puts themselves in a situation they don’t fully understand or can control has the possibility of dying.
