Amazon this week announced an update to its popular Kindle Paperwhite. The updated ebook reader now boasts a resolution of 300 pixels per inch, the same resolution as Amazon’s more expensive Kindle Voyage.
The new Kindle also comes with Amazon’s new font, Bookerly, which claims to give readers a better reading experience — faster reading with less eyestrain.
The new Paperwhite is available for preorder and releases on June 30, 2015. The base model, with Special Offers and Wi-Fi only, is $119.

I have the Paperwhite glow. I looked carefully at the Voyager when buying. But I didn’t see THAT much of a difference between the too. If I looked very close the fonts were a bit less jaggie but I didn’t notice at normal reading distance. Ultimately finding a new paperwhite glow on craigslist for pennies on the dollar solved any dilemma I had. I’m glad to see them continue to improve eink readers. I still find them to be a much nicer reading experience than any LCD tablets.
Agreed. And when you pick up a reader such as a Paperwhite or Voyager, you know that all you can do is read. No getting distracted with emails, calenders, surfing the internet.
