Gekkopod

So, you’re an on the go type of person who loves to take pictures. The problem is picture ops come up when you least expect them or when you’re not prepared with a tripod or selfie stick. The Gekkopod, a Kickstarter project by Gal and Boaz Zucker, may be the perfect portable solution to your last-minute picture-taking needs. The Gekkopod is basically a flat, five legged, flexible camera mount designed to be bent, twisted or contorted to meet your photo taking situations. Made of food grade silicon and metal, the Gekkopod measures 7″ x 7″ flat and weighs a mere 1.6 ounces. The Gekkopod is designed to be used with an included 1/4-20″ screw for cameras, the optional adaptable mount for smart phones, or optional Go Pro mount. There are many pledge points for this project with a $12 (plus $5 shipping) pledge getting you a Gekkopod in your choice of colors (green, purple or black), a standard 1/4-20″ screw and your choice of the adaptable mount or Go Pro mount. This project is seeking funding through July 2, 2015 and if successfully funded will ship in the October 2015 time frame.

  2. All the example pictures show the Gekkopod being used with a phone that isn’t in a case. Do you know whether it would work with a phone that is in a case? I love my case, but it’s a pain to remove.
