  2. So we buy this thin, light, easy to hold smartphone and put it in a “case” that makes it almost an inch thick and tough to push buttons. Where’s the logic in that?

If you want a rugged S6, wait for the Active.

    1. @Tom There are many different types of cases for phones from thin covers that protect the back and sided to rugged wrap around protection like Otterbox cases offer. I personally do not like to use any case with my phones, but many people do.

      1. Nice point Julie. After two blackberries and three Samsung Galaxies, this is the first time I am going to a white phone rather than black. And I had the OP’s original thought in mind until I visited a couple of websites to get an idea of what kind of case was else there. Julie is exactly right, if you want a nice leather folding case that adds .1 cm to your phone that is available, if you want a rugged Defender Ot Otter, go for it. I think a nice halfway point in some PET film, with a back see through case for the sides for bumps.

My biggest concern with the phone is scratching the glass. After watching that YouTube video of the Asian woman going to town on her phone and having it function and look absolutely scratchless, I have No concerns with dropping it. Again it doesn’t add that much unless you’re going for rugged, in the woods, wartime phone in which case why are you getting the S6 anyway?
