I wish I would have known about the Havahart Spray Away Elite II before we ended up erecting an 8 foot tall fence around a 50 x 50 foot garden plot two years ago. Jeanne had tried several times to have a garden only to have it turn into a free salad bar for the deer and other wildlife in the area where we live. The Havahart Spray Away Elite II is a solar-powered sprayer that uses infrared sensors to detect an animal’s heat and movement. When Bambi visits your garden to chow down on your green beans, the Spray Away will blast her with water and noise to scare her away. The system solar powered so you don’t have to worry about batteries and has a 3.5 gallon water reservoir, so you can place it anywhere on your property without having to worry about power cables and water hoses. It works 24/7 to protect a 1,900 sq ft area with the large water basin which holds enough water to release approximately 35 sprays. The Spray Away is priced at $179.99. 2. I don’t have a yard/garden big enough to worry about these critters but I would so get one if I did! I guess it also works on robbers breaking in? If they do get my TV at least they get a soaking. I guess i could use non removable dye too! Hehehe!

Lol! Kids actually love to play around the Spray Away, they think it’s great fun to run past it and get wet – summertime fun at it’s best! 🙂

@michaelmurray – you nailed it! Just sneak up on the unit from behind (i.e. the side without the sensor) and flip the switch off.
