Did you make a new year’s resolution to eat better and get fit? Yeah me too. So far I’m doing pretty good but there are times when I want a snack it’s tough to find something healthy – especially if I’m at work. Vending machines are a no go zone for me because they are almost always snacks that offer zero nutrition and are loaded with ingredients that do more harm than good. When the folks at Fit Snack contacted me to ask if I would take a look at their snack box of the month service, I thought it was perfect timing and accepted because Fit Snack is a monthly snack box delivered to your door with a focus on fitness and nutrition.

The Fit Snack box focuses on a combination of the “Perfect 10” which are snacks that fall into these categories:

High Protein, Complex Carbs, Low Sugar, GMO-Free, Paleo, Gluten Free, Clean Eating, Sustainable, Organic, Raw

Every Fit Snack box is supposed to feature 7 to 10 items including name-brand products as well as full-sized and deluxe-samples from various Fit Snack partners. I received a sample of their first box, which included everything you see in the image above. It was packed! There were salty snacks like lentil, veggie and quinoa chips, and sweet snacks like a brownie and peanut butter cookies from the Protein Bakery. I’ve tried several of the items and haven’t found anything that I’ve not liked – except for the espresso bites which I gave to my coffee loving friend at work. Also included in the box was a T-shirt, coupons and a card with workout tips.

I live in a small town that doesn’t have a Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods or other stores that offer healthy snacks like the ones included in the Fit Snack box. It’s always nice to have a few pre-packaged snacks on hand so you won’t be tempted to visit the dreaded vending machine. And it’s fun to try new foods that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating.

Fit Snack offers four different plans which start with a month to month plan for $19 + $5 shipping and go up to a yearly plan which drops the price to $15 + $5 shipping. Each box is generally valued at over $30.
