Ten One Design’s Mountie is a specially designed clamp that will let you attach an iPhone, iPad, other smartphones and tablets to a MacBook or iMac. The clamp works with any MacBook or iMac made after 2012 and iPhone 4 and newer, iPad Air 1 & 2, iPad minis, and other devices that have a thickness between 5.0 and 9.0 mm. Use it to add an auxiliary display for watching Netflix while you’re supposed to be working, for Facetime chats and more. You can also use the attached device with special apps (not included) that can turn the device into an extended display for your iMac or MacBook. The Mountie’s rubberized grip holds devices firmly in place and includes swappable inserts that offer compatibility with a variety of mobile devices.

The Mountie will be available with Green or Blue accents and can be pre-ordered now for $24.95. The clamp is scheduled to ship next month (February, 2015). Visit https://tenonedesign.com/mountie for more information.

Any word on compatibility with cases? that’s often a main concern to us readers!

@Truffol The clamp is supposed to work with thicknesses between 5 and 9mm. The pictures make it a little tough to see out a case would effect things.

@Yeppers their site says Any MacBook after 2014. Since a MacBook Air is a MacBook, I’m assuming it will work.
