The Earhart Tablet Carrycase from Materials + Process is a pouch to carry a tablet and a couple other things – perhaps a small notepad and a writing implement, as seen here.  The Earhart is made by a design firm in San Fransisco that was started by Christine Marcelino.  The company’s  “mission is to design and craft thoughtful, quality products for the modern nomad and frontiersman. By recognizing essential functionality and using authentic materials, we naturally build longevity into our products. Through our work we cultivate and inspire thought through our artisanship.”

The Earhart Tablet Carrycase is made of ultra soft vegetable -dyed leather that has no coatings, so it will develop color and patina as it ages with use and exposure to sunlight.  The pouch is sewn flat and stretches to fit its contents; it has a carry handle integrated into the bag’s design.  The Earhart Tablet Carrycase is $120.00 from Materials + Process.

  2. I agree with the other John. I have a great appreciation for hand-crafted and locally made, and all those other superlatives, but it seems like everyone crafting things in these small business methods also tacks on some ridiculous price as well. It’s hard to support folks when they want a price that is multiple times more expensive than other comparable products.
