When she was younger, my daughter was the monster all the mother headphones used to scare their little headphones into being good.  Rachel could kill a pair of headphones or earbuds in no time, and then she’d come asking to borrow mine!  If the MarBlue HeadFoams had been around then, I might have gotten to keep a pair of headphones for myself.  The Grommet describes HeadFoams as kid-friendly and made of “shatterproof and lightweight EVA foam that is nearly indestructible. Tug, pull, twist, and drop with no worries.”  They are non-toxic and BPA-free.  HeadFoams are designed for children as young as 3, and they will fit most head sizes and include an extender pad for smaller heads.  They have a maximum volume of 85 decibels to protect your child’s hearing.  MarBlue HeadFoams are available in red, blue, or pink for $29.95 from The Grommet.

  2. In my experience, it’s usually the cord that takes the brunt of the punishment.
Either at the plug into the device, or where it goes into the headset.

  3. p51d007,

I generally put a “splint” on the cord where the plug is on the headset and tape it up with either home-made sugru or colored electrical tape. Got tired of replacing headsets every 3-6 months. The last sets have been going strong for 1 year now.

  4. We bought one pair after seeing them on this site, and have since bought a second pair because we liked them so much. Perfect for little kids in the car and other travels.
