We have lava lamps, anyway. ThinkGeek has a pair of Star Wars Motion Lamps that look like the hilts of light sabers. One looks like the hilt of Luke Skywalker’s ROTJ hilt with blue lava-like wax; the other looks like Darth Vader’s Empire hilt with red lava-like wax. Each is 18″ tall, with a 4 3/4″ diameter base. Because they get very hot and shouldn’t be used more than 10 hours at a time, they are not suitable for use as a nightlight. The lamps are available singly for $29.99 each; a pair of both is $49.99. Im a sucker for lava lamps, I had them in the 70’s and 80’s (Im showing my age now) then I bought one about 10 years ago and it got broken.
But I love these with the geek factor of Star wars. I hope these come to the UK sometime.
It looks like Argos in the UK has the Vader lamp, and the Glow Co. has had both, though they seem to be out of stock at the moment.
