Recently, Amazon announced that it would be raising the rates for their Prime membership.  It was the first increase in years, and I didn’t think it was too much to bear, because I use Amazon – and free Prime shipping – frequently.  Amazon isn’t just increasing the rates to compensate for rising shipping costs; they’re also giving Amazon Prime customers more bang for their buck.  They just announced their latest service, Amazon Prime Music.  This streaming service is free to Amazon Prime members.  They currently have about 1,000,000 songs in their library; this is perhaps considerably fewer songs than other streaming services, but this one doesn’t cost you an additional monthly fee if you’re already an Amazon Prime member.  The service is ad-free and has no listening restrictions.  Amazon Fire HD/HDX devices will receive an automatic update to install the streaming music app;  Android and iOS users can download the app from their app stores, and you can even listen on your computer.  If you’re not a current Prime member, Amazon will even give you a free 30-day trial so you can try out the free shipping, free movies, and free music.  Learn more at the Amazon Prime Music site.
