When we moved into our condo, the first thing we did was replace the deadbolt – and that’s despite living in a building with security locks on all exterior doors and the elevators, plus a doorman stationed at the door 24/7.  But what if you live in a rental where you can’t change the locks and don’t know who might have a set of your keys?  And worse yet, there are tools that allow criminals to unlock your door as easily as if they had your key.  With the Super Grip Lock by EasyComforts on your door knob and deadbolt, no one will be able to unlock the deadbolt.  The strap is made of durable hook-and-loop fabric that’s strong enough to prevent the deadbolt from opening.    The directions are printed on the Super Grip Lock strap, so you’ll know you’re putting it on correctly.  It works on nearly all deadbolts and on installations with the door knob and deadbolt up to 6 inches apart.  It doesn’t damage the door nor require permanent installation, so you can use it in rentals or even hotel rooms with deadbolts.  The Super Grip Lock is available at Amazon for $10.99.

  2. Police call Super Grip Lock a Godsend for the traveling public and those who live in rentals. It’s great when you know that no one can unlock your door.

  3. I am trying to find a way to lock out the apartment maintenance man – and those he allows into my apartment – while I am gone. As a renter, I am not allowed to change my front door lock yet apparently any perv that lives or works at my apartment complex is allowed to come and go from my apartment as they please. I have been able to find nothing online that allows me to lock my lock – when I leave. Do you have any ideas? Again this is not for when I am “in” my apartment but when I am gone from it and don’t want the creepy maintenance man planting spy cameras or messing with my router/modem/IOT devices in my space while I am gone. For a female, this is a very real problem – that everyone should be concerned about in 2018 and forward – Especially as a dwelling renter or hotel vacationeer.
