    Eric says:

On the subject of Juicers. There are two different types of juicers, the Centrifugal type and the Masticating type. The two types work very differently, and while each has its own pros and cons, in my opinion the masticating type is far more efficient at producing juice.

The Breville above is an example of the Centrifugal type, it mushes the fruits and veggies and uses high speed centrifugal force to suck the juice out. I found that they are is not very efficient for a lot of leafy vegetables and I ended up wasting a lot. Also, it created a nasty tasting froth on top. The one good thing is that it is fast.

I now have a Lexen masticating juicer. It uses low speed and really grinds the juice out. It produces a lot more juice but it takes longer to work. I think the juice tastes better too.

There is a lot of good info out there about the different types. Do the research before you buy one.
