The new Notifier watch from Martian Watches still has the attractive analog watch face that makes telling time a snap.  It also has a 96 X 16 pixel graphic OLED display that’s used to display notifications from your iOS or Android smartphone – “caller ID, texts, Facebook, Twitter, Weather, Email, Calendar, Instagram, Pinterest, favorite games, your bank, fitness stats, and any other alert your device allows.”   It takes away the earlier Martian Watches’ Bluetooth handset functionality, but you still can issue voice commands with the watch on your smart phone’s speakerphone.  It has a “light touch” vibration motor that allows you to customize vibration patterns for notifications, so you’ll know what type of notification you received without even needing to look at your watch or your phone.  The Notifier still has the silent alarm, hourly repeater, leash, find phone, camera shutter control functions from the earlier models, and it still uses Bluetooth 4.0 low-power technology, so it’s easy on your phone’s battery.  It has a striking new design, plastic case with stainless steel bezel, silicone band with stainless clasp, and a scratch-resistant crystal.  It’s ready for the second quarter of 2014, and it has an expected price of $129.  The Martian Watches Notifier sounds much more feature-rich than the Phosphor Touch Time watch I recently reviewed.
