  2. Best memory is actually simply staying home and watching a movie with a pizza. We have kind of made it a tradition now, except with home-made pizza.

  3. Favorite Valentines memory is taking a girl out in college to Red Lobster. She ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, drinks, and a dessert. Then to top it off, she refused to speak with me the day after. Learned afterwards that Valentines isn’t about how much you spend but who you spend it with.

  4. My favorite Valentine’s memory is thanks to my dad. Every year, he would leave us a box of our favourite chocolates, a teddy bear, a flower and a card. The card was always sentimental and reminded us that he loved us and would always be our “valentine”. This means so much to me, and I’m glad I have these valuable memories from him.

  5. Valentine’s Day 1983…came home from college in New York City to visit my then-girlfriend/now-wife in a blizzard…over 20″ of snow…but it was worth it!!!

  6. My fondest memory would be when my Husband returned home with a bouquet of flowers he picked from his daily walk, because we were too broke at the time for anything else.

  7. I got my (now husband) a box of double-dipped dark chocolate covered strawberries from Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Co. on our first Valentine’s Day together.

He opened it and got a huge grin on his face.

I then opened my gift only to find that we both got each other the exact same thing.

    It was meant to be.

  8. Roast duck for two at our favorite restaurant – which we hoped to do again this weekend but must wait, as in the last big freeze they had pipes burst in the kitchen so won’t be open for a while now.

  9. My best valentine memory has to be last year where we went on a short easy hike near Boulder, CO and then grabbed some coffee and a movie!

  10. One Valentine’s Day, my daughters made me some lovely cards AND origami flowers! They were really beautiful and, truly, that was the sweetest, best, Valentine’s Day ever <3

  11. My best Valentine’s Day memory was my boyfriend and mine’s first Valentine’s Day in 2011. He was away in basic training for the military and I wasn’t even thinking about Valentine’s Day because I was too sad that he wasn’t going to be around. Even with everything he was going through in training he took the time to make me a card (drawing and coloring pictures and all, and he deff is not an artist lol) and write a poem. I still have the card saved away and that is my best Valentine’s Day memory.

  12. My favorite Valentine’s Day was many years ago. My whole family was together in Kansas City because my grandmother was in the hospital (that part wasn’t good) but all of my siblings and spouses went out to Valentine’s Day Dinner together and celebrated with each other. Four young couples in love, surrounded by all of those we loved most – it was so much fun.

  13. I’ve been married now for almost 20 years, and the first Valentine’s Day I shared with my wife was when we had been dating only 6 weeks. I knew without question she was the “one.” In our area we had the worst blizzard in memory, and the several feet of snow had been plowed, but was drifting everywhere in the roads. I had bought her roses and in trying to get to her house in the rural area where we live, I finally was stopped short (about 1/2 mile) from her home. I walked the rest of the way in freezing temperatures because I couldn’t give up on seeing her face and bringing a smile to her face. She brings a smile to mine every day, and it was time well spent. I couldn’t imagine a day without her.

  14. My boyfriend surprised me last Valentines Day by having me go to the mall then calling me up and telling me to go to the Godiva store. I walked in and the employees said Happy Valentines day and there was candy and a bear! My boyfriend surprised me!

  15. Last year was the first Valentine’s Day that my wife and I spent together. We didn’t plan anything special, but that day was special nonetheless. Having her with me is the best present I could hope for.

  16. My favorite Valentine memory is every year, when I have the chance to spend that day with my lovely wife of nearly 28 years!

  17. My favorite memory is when my hubby took us out to a really nice restaurant on the San Antonio Riverwalk and then we had a night in the Fairmont hotel. There were rose petals on the bed and chocolate covered strawberrys. He is a keeper!

  18. Best valentine is not on vday. It’s those little weekends we get away and alone, without work and just with each other. I honestly make an effort NOT to “celebrate” 2/14 but do little (or big) things every month to show my love.

  19. my most favorite memory from Valentines day was when my sister hid in the trunk of a car for 2 hours while that car was being driven to another town.I was the only one in the car that new about it.Her boyfriend thought he was going to be a third wheel on my Valentines date but when I opened the trunk my sister popped out and scared the heck out of the guys. Best Valentines day EVER!!!

  20. My favorite Valentine’s Day memory was years ago with my fiancee (then boyfriend!). It was pouring down rain, and I had these nice sandals on for our romantic outing at a restaurant. We didn’t have a car then, so when we were done with dinner, he asked me to wait inside, then he ran out in the rain to the nearest Payless shoe store to get me a pair of water proof sketchers just so my high heel sandals wouldn’t be ruined! I thought that was a better and sweeter gift than the chocolates he got me 🙂

Thank you for the givaway. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  21. Best Valentine’s Day ever: My young kids surprised me with home-made dinner and a lop-sided cake when I got home from work. I was a divorced mom and working all the time. I’ve never enjoyed tomato soup and semi-grilled cheese so much as when we sat down to eat and they were beaming with pride and I was trying to keep my tears back.

  22. My favorite Valentine’s Day memory is being made at this moment. This is the moment that I will remember because I love myself unconditionally and am now free to love others as I love myself and as God loves us all!

  23. My fondest memory was surprising my husband with a two night trip to Frisco! We stayed at a cozy little japanese style hotel with a great view. Walked the city, sat in the park listening to the drum circle and shopped at vintage stores for hats and cd’s. It was amazing!

  24. My boyfriend and I had a romantic spaghetti dinner at home and watched Lady and the Tramp. I know now that Disney movies are not his thing, but you would never know it that night. He really made it special for me.

  25. Mv favorite memory was when my 4 year old daughter asked me what Valentines day was.. After I explained that it was a day when one person professed a love for another by asking them to be their valentine. She looked at me completely straight faced and said “well, I love you, so will you be my valentine?” It was so sweet and genuine it almost made me cry. After I said “only if you will be mine” and her little voice saying “yes daddy!”, she proceeded to tell the dog that she loved him and she wanted him to be her valentine as well…

  26. The best memories I have was helping my daughters, when they were young, with their Valentine Cards for their classmates, wondering which little boy would get that special card from them. It brought back the innocence that I once felt as a child, when I myself would choose that special card out of many for that special boy in my class. The enjoyment of watching the giddiness of my children and others as they passed out their cards to each classmate and wondering what their special cards would say.

I have to say, that it is nice to get flowers, a card or even go out to eat with your significant other. But, it is not the same as watching your child during this Holiday and seeing them smile. Now that my children are grown, I still live to give them that special Valentine card or gift and relive the moments that I have shared with them. 🙂

  27. Had made a great chicken parm dinner, big salad and a bottle of Korbel champagne waiting for my girlfriend to arrive from work. Dinner was great and she loved it, opened two bottles of champagne and we both had a wonderful night together. Four days later our puppy became very ill found him on the floor not moving and off to the vet we went. One thousand dollars later and surgery we discovered that the puppy had chewed and eaten the champagne cork that we never knew where it went. One year later girlfriend gone dog stayed with me for eleven years. So Happy Valentine’s Day to my dog. BTW, I have never stepped foot in a Starbucks.

  28. My favorite valentine memory is when my husband and I went to New York for the weekend and WALKED everywhere as tourists, never took a cab!

  29. Daniel Bertalotto

Great little resort in Ozark Mountains called Big Cedar Lodge. Most Februarys we take a few days to get a cabin, start a fire and get away from the everyday.

  30. My favorite Valentine’s memory is when my mom used to leave a box of chocolates under my pillow. In the morning I would eat some for breakfast. She didnt like that to much but it was Valentine’s Day!! Lol

  31. My best memory of V-day is 2/14/09, my first V-day as a new mom. We had crab legs and steak , and chocolate fondue for dessert at our kitchen table with our two week old snoozing away in his bassinet. <3

  32. The b’day after getting my first time.. I went to a Starbucks with my Valentine to grab some orange cake they had and a mug of whit chocolate mocha .. I love live Starbucks.. and thanks for reminding of these wonderful moments.
