You’re out in the car when you get a flat tire.  You have the tools and the skills, so you pull out the spare to change it yourself only to find that your spare is flat.  Now you’re stranded until AAA or someone you call can make it out to you.  If you had the Automatic Cordless Tire Inflator, you wouldn’t have to wait for help.  Just keep the battery charged up using your car’s power outlet, and you’ll have the tools you need to get your tire re-inflated and yourself back on the road.  It measures in psi, bars, or kpi, and it will automatically stop inflating when you’ve reached the desired pressure.  It quickly inflates car tires to 36psi, and it can inflate a bicycle tire to 58psi in one minute.  It comes with adaptors so you can inflate toys or “recreation balls” (hope they mean yoga balls…), and it even has an LED light to illuminate the tire air valve to make things easier when you’re working in the dark.  It’s $89.99 at Hammacher Schlemmer.

  2. Drat! I have one of those donut spares and it needs to be inflated to 60 psi. This is particularly timely to me because I had just checked my spare last month and it was down to 36 psi so I took it to the mechanic to fill the air.

  3. You know, a bicycle floor pump will do the trick. It will takes about one minute to pump up a tire to 30 psi, and doesn’t require that much effort, as these pumps are designed for road bike which is normally inflated to 90-120 psi.

The advantage is that you never have to recharge it.
