Live in the moment and not behind a lens with the Autographer wearable camera

autographer

The Autographer is a 5MP wearable camera that features a 136° wide angle lens, 8GB internal memory, Bluetooth, GPS and 5 sensors (Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Temperature, Color sensor and PIR motion detector) for hands-free image capture. The sensors tell the camera when to take a picture so you can experience the moments as they happen instead of composing shots and snapping shutters. You’ll be able to re-live vacations, precious moments with your kids, special events or a lifelog of your day’s activities. The camera can take an average of up to 2,000 images per day depending on user-defined sensitivity settings. It can store up to 16,000 images total; meaning up to 8 days of images could be captured before the 8GB storage limit is reached. GPS functionality pinpoints Autographer’s location, so you can see exactly where your photographs were taken. Using desktop software and a smartphone app, you can view and edit photos to construct a digital story of your life by creating stop-frame videos and animated GIF images. The Autographer can be pre-ordered now for $399.00 with shipping scheduled to start November 15th.

I’m going to Israel for 12 days in January. This will be great to just clip on my jacket and forget about. I’m sure I will want composed shots, but I like the idea of not having to worry about taking picts.

    $400 is awfully high.

Can you imagine the quality or lack thereof of the 2000 pictures per day. Good pictures are hard enough to take w a camera and with the minimal thought that most people use in taking photos. I would not want to sort through 2000 pictures to find the 1 or 2 pictures that are not awful and maybe worth keeping.
