Until now, it has seemed like the iPhone was the only smartphone with metal cases and rails available from different makers. That’s changed with the Metallo Designer cases from V-Moda, who has been known for their headphones and amps. The Metallo cases have been designed to be used as a standalone case or to work with V-MODA’s recently announced VAMP VERZA mobile Hi-Fi amplifier, DAC, and Battery charger (available as a separate purchase of $598). The cases feature interchangeable back plates made from a single aluminum metal block machine milled and laser-cut through a state-of-the-art, precise design process that takes one hour to complete each case. The Metallo cases for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 are available now for $101 from V-MODA.com and come in Red Coral, Silver Snake, Orange Serpente and Black Mamba.
